Q: 1. Just curious, Does anyone have one that is immensely stinky? I have one that for years now has smelled like intense smoke like smoked meat with rubber. It stinks up a camera bag so i have to put in in a ziplock bag if i take it anywhere.

A: that never happen to me. Mine is working Perfect

Q: 2. Does the Sony E 18-200 SEL18200LE lens have a separate manual focus ring?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 3. Is this a better mic for capturing dialogue than the MKE600 ?

A: The NTG4+ and MKE 600 are comparable in terms of performance and audio quality. You should get similar results using either mic, so it's really a matter of personal preference.

Q: 4. Does this lens come with a hood?

A: This lens comes with front and back caps and the hood.

Q: 5. The bracket seems like you must have the shoe devices to the right of the camera where the shutter would be. This seems un-initiative. Is there a different part number where the cold shoes are rotated to allow for left sided operation?

A: If you rotate the bracket to the other side of the camera, you must slide the device into it from front to back instead of the usual back to front. This isn't a problem for the mic and external GPS that I use it for, but might be if your device's shoe mount is designed to work only if you slide it into the shoe in a forward direction.

Q: 6. Does this comes with the latest firmware update that allows Hybrid AF (nex-6, a6000, etc.)?

A: Unfortunately manufacturers do not indicate what firmware products arrive to us with, and we do not have the ability to inspect before shipping to confirm. In many cases from the time the product ships from overseas, to the time it takes to arrive to you, a new firmware version could be introduced, so we always recommend checking your device with the manufacturers website once you receive it to see if it is running the latest version. If a newer version is being offered it is very easy to update directly on the manufacturer's website.

Q: 7. What do I need to mount this to a tripod?

A: You do not need anything else.

Q: 8. What is the difference between this mic and the Verifact E LE-075?

A: The microphone has Electronic Gain control which allows you to control how sensitive the microphone is. The LE-075 does not have that.

Q: 9. How can this microphone claim so much greater directionality (down 14 dB at 60 degrees off-axis) than other shotgun microphones of similar physical length. Is it a typo?

A: The physical length alone does not determine directinality. It is the overal design and engineering that achieves this specification. Q: 10. Is there a teleconverter that will work with this lens and the Sony A6300? I would like to use this as a combination travel and bird photo set up.

A: Unfortunately, no teleconverters can work with an 18-200mm lens.

[-45 dB] Was needing to have a simple way to record audio to one of our IP cameras, and this device did exactly what it was supposed to do. It allowed us to run the microphone, amplifier, and camera off one PoE connection. Easy to install.

[-45 dB] Used for recording meetings. Inconspicuous. Was concerned about installing in ceiling tile due to sound absorption of tile, but it's working fine in 20'x20' room.

[50 Hz to 8 kHz] I originally bought the Sunwayfoto DYH-66i but it didn't fit my Sirui tripod -- it would not tighten all the way down. I bought the Sirui Leveling Base and it fits all my tripods. Although it does not have tension control, it is stiff enough to allow for subtle corrections.

[50 Hz to 8 kHz] Placed on a dock over the river, this mic brings the outdoors into my home, with eagle song and water music. Nothing sounds better!

[50 Hz to 8 kHz] This is solid. I'm using it to mount a flat-base fluid head to a Peak Design Travel Tripod. Nice damping on ball level adjustment.

[+10 dB] This is a great addition to an existing Dante system. Installation is easy, just need a 2 hole in the ceiling tile and connect CAT6 cable with RJ45. The unit is smaller than anticipated, but the microphone is super sensitive and picks up the entire board room with clarity. The plug-and-play capability of the Dante system and interface is also nice, as it provides power to up to 4 connected devices. A single ceiling mic and interface connected to our existing network has replaced the need to set up table-top mics and a multi-channel mizer and removed the worry about users accidentally muting their mics during a meeting. With some additional Dante interface devices, users can easily connect over our network to ceiling mics with ease. A point of advice for those new to Dante, be sure you are comfortable with the environment requirements, they might seem overwhelming at first, but they are easy to build out and work with existing network infrastructure.

[0.28 lb] I've attached this to my RocknRoller cart for a sort of makeshift camera cart. Holds my Manfrotto head and Sony F55 with no issues so far!

[+10 dB] This leveling base adjusts smoothly, tightens firmly and holds my Nikon D610 and heavy Tamron 150-600 with no trouble. I normally use my Nikon 24-120 for panoramics, and the bubble level on this base made things so easy when trying to level the tripod. The base moves around enough that I can have my tripod in some pretty crazy positions and still get it leveled by adjusting this base.I have a Gitzo tripod, but couldn't see spending the money it took to buy a Gitzo or Really Right Stuff leveling base. Another big plus is that this base is small enough that it doesn't increase the height of my system too much. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
