This PortaBrace Polar Mitten Case for Sony PMW-300camera warm, dry, and functioning properly in cold weather. It will also minimize condensation when you bring your camera indoors from the cold. Tested to -50°F, it can be used handheld or tripod mounted. The fleece-lined sleeve keeps your hand warm during filming. The high-loft, heat-reflective insulation accepts air-activated warmers that keep the camera warm, and four warmers are included with the Polar Mitten. The insulated lens cap protects the front element of your lens.

Q: 1. Can I mount a Canon HDGC KH 19x6.7KAS SY14 19x lens on this camera? If so what mounting adapter would I need?

A: We are having a hard time locating the exact model of lens you listed, however lenses from Canon with similar nomenclature are 1/2 B4. You would need at least a 2/3 B4 with an adapter on this camera, it may not be possible with the lens you have I'm afraid. Q: 2. Hi, is it working with Canon 2/3 B4 as well?

A: This is only listed as for Fujinon lenses. Canon lenses most likely will mount but performance is not supported.

Q: 3. does this record om .mov format?

A: The Sony F5 records in XAVC and MPEG 4.

Q: 4. How much is firmware update or is it free?F5 can record with new frimware update internl 4:4:4?Thank you for your answer.

A: All firmware updates are free. No firmware for the F5 to do 4:4:4 has been released as of this time.

Q: 5. Can the f5 record X OCN with AXS r7?

A: no it can not

Q: 6. a fs7 on it?

A: The Sony PXW-FS7 would mount on the Movcam Sony PMW-F3 and work for the most part I should think. My concern would be that the rig be too front heavy. I would consider a plate marked for use with the FS7 such as those made by Zacuto, Vocas, SHAPE, Tilta, Cartoni and Wooden Camera. See examples attached.

Q: 7. Will a Nikon 200 - 500mm zoom lens fit this ?

A: I don't know for sure, but I have a Nikon 300 2.8, which fits in without needing the top section. So it the lens is no more than 60-70mm additional length, it should work OK.

Q: 8. Does this case come with the shoulder strap, or do I need to order that separately?

A: yes it does, both shoulder stop and hand carry strap. Something to hold onto when you slip it off you shoulder.

Q: 9. Since all of the Canon users who have written reviews seem to have the older non IS versions. Has anyone experience of using this bag with the newer Canon ef 300mm f/2.8l is ii?

A: Update: Fits 200/2 with EF 1.4X on RP, without removing the top pouch. Will not fit my 1DX (with L bracket) with this combo (due width and height). Might just squeeze in with 200 only. Most likely the 5D4 would be fine with the 200 + 1.4, or the 300/2.8 fitted.

Q: 10. Does this r5 have the r55 sensor upgrade as it appears in the photo?

A: No it does not. this is the F5 with the standard F5 sensor. it does not include the F55 upgrade.

[Black] Nowadays, instruction manuals are an experience in frustration. Rather than being something helpful, they are more of an obstruction, almost challenging you to try to understand their twisted English, a translation from another native language. And they usually start with pages of useless legal disclaimers. So, Doug Jensen's line of instructional DVD's comes along and breathes fresh new hope to someone trying to master their hi-tech camcorder. It's just as advertised... an in-depth hands-on workshop showing you how to really get the most out of your new equipment. You are actually looking at the menu screen on the camcorder as he makes adjustments, changes settings, etc. You see the results of what he's talking about in sample short video clips. He doesn't bother to take you through every possible tweak that the XDcam series camcorders are capable of, but focuses on what is profitable in the real world for most of us. If you spend thousands of dollars for a camera, you owe it to yourself to get this DVD. It will be the key that unlocks the potential of your equipment, for a very small investment. 5

[2.4 lb] If you are looking for training on Sony's XDCAM's PMW line, look no further than Vortex's very high quality training DVDs. This is my third training DVD produced by Doug Jensen and I can say that all three have been top shelf training. Doug is very knowledgeable and has a great delivery. He sticks to the facts but also interjects opinions, which I find most helpful. I will continue to purchase training DVDs from Vortex in the future. 5

[Black] I was the first adopter to the Sony EX1 back in about 2007 in my home market. I've been shooting since 1977. First film, then 3/4 tape, Betacam etc. I thought I knew everything. I didn't. Vortex's Training Video on the EX1 was like conversing with an old friend who knew what he was talking about. I have since purchased the PMW-200. I instinctively understood the 200 after spending so much time with EX1 and EX1R. Even so, after purchasing the training video for the PMW-200 I discovered more cool things about this camera that I had not discovered on my own. Doug Jensen, the guy who hosts the sessions is a great teacher, the segments he designed are especially easy to follow. If you do buy this video I highly recommend you have your camera on your lap as you watch. 5
