The Cavision Lens Support Trimmer Knob Adjustable ABS Belt 15mm Rodcan be used to support a 50 to 200mm outside diameter lens. It can be used on 15mm support rods with 60mm or 100mm spacing. The fastening belt can be tightened down to keep the lens absolutely still and multiple ABS sections can be added or removed to provide a large diameter range.

A: The Digital Bolex does have a 1/4 -20 thread underneath it that will allow it to be connected to this Rod Support System. However this system is designed for Mini DV Camcorders, it may not be a great match for a Digital Bolex. I would suggest the Aptaris Universal LWS Baseplate or the Revo SR-1500 Dual Grip Shoulder Rig instead.

A: The Cavision 3x3" Matte Box is a clamp on matte box, which clamps onto your lens directly, with or without a rig.

A: This is a fairly straight forward product that is easy to set up, adjust and mount cameras on.

Q: 4. Can this matte box be clamped to a lens that has an 82mm attachment thread? Or do I need a step-up ring in order for the clamp to be secure? I have a zoom lens (24-70mm) that I'm looking to clamp to a DLSR. Would ideally like to avoid using a rail system.

A: Unfortunately, there is no Cavision 82mm to 85mm diameter available. And unless the lens's outer diameter is exactly 85mm, we are not able to make a recommendation. A: This is listed as supporting Canon SD ENG Lenses, the lens you mentioned is an HD Lens. It may not be supported and we do not recommend it at this time.

A: Yes, the maximum thickness that can fit is 4mm.

Q: 9. can this matt box fits my sony z5u lens if I use a 72mm ring adapter?

A: I don't know that particular lens, whether it moves in and out much. However, I use the matte box with several prime lenses with 72mm IR filters mounted on the front.

Q: 10. Does this have a thread on the bottom of it as well?

A: There is no thread on the bottom of this lens support.

[100 mm] I upgraded to this because on my Smallrig one, the column was so long that I frequently couldn't set the camera flat when it was attached. This one fixed that for me and feels a lot more substantial as well. My only issue is the 1/4 20 adapter. It tends to get stuck to the lens instead of staying on the support. Not a big deal, but it also is perfectly cylindrical, with no flat edges, so it's difficult to remove. I usually have to wrap a rubber band around it to get a grip on it. 5

[100 mm] Tilts just builds rugged stuff. I may be a bit heavier then something like the Zacuto version but very well designed when you just need that 1/8 inch leeway to seat it in the lens support threads. I got so tired of rental houses forgetting the proper thread adapters, I just bought my own. 5

[100 mm] I liked this 19-15 adaptor. Im steadicam operator and all my brackets are Jerry Hill. sometimes is difficult fit the motor on the lens and when I saw this, I realiza you can change the measure of the rods. I used twice since I bought and it works. 5

[100 mm] Well constructed and clamps tightly to my rig. Easy to move. Helpful piece of equipment to take the weight off of your camera. 5
