The Sescom 6-Position Variable Attenuator for Audio Controlis a selectable level-cut balanced-audio attenuator/pad that plugs into your equipment's I/O or inline XLR cables. The unit features selectable decibel attenuation levels of -5, -10, -20, -30, -40, or 50 dB. The SES-MULTI-PAD is ready to plug directly into other equipments' outputs or inputs with its built in XLR connectors (male and female XLR). It can also be used with adapters to attenuate unbalanced audio in a pinch with no ill effects.

A: The IL-19-SS and IL-19 In-Line Hum Eliminators are both intended for the same purpose and both units are constructed using ABS plastic housing. The difference between the two models is the dynamic structured shielding feature included on the IL-19-SS which can provide a better ground in certain setups that include older racks and cabinets.

A: Yes. In addition to reducing hum and noise, the Sescom IL-19-SS In-Line Audio Hum Eliminator will provide transformer isolation between a balanced line level output and an unbalanced line level input.

I have an Si Expression 3 mixer and JVC GV-LS2 Live Streaming Camera.It is my desire to feed live mixed audio into the JVC camera for HD recording to SDXC. A: This cable features circuitry on both audio channels to match the sweet spot level of your camera's mic input. It attenuates the incoming microphone signal. The -25dB provided at the mic input is not sufficient to convert a LINE output signal to the mic signal required by your camera.

[1] I use this device along with a Sony UWP plug on transmitter to get the band or DJ's audio into my camera. I come out of the powered speakers XLR jack, into the attenuator and then on to the transmitter. Every DJ has the level set a little different and this device compensates for those differences. Usually the .05 or .10 setting knocks it down to a perfect level. I adjust on the fly as needed. 5

[Attenuator/Pad] We use an Avocet II and the outputs are really hot, even with the input calibration. We used two of these to attenuate the outputs to our monitors by -20db and can now monitor with the volumes calibrated and have much finer control. 5

[Attenuator/Pad] Reduce output exactly 5db as per spec which is what I'm looking for. I'm using this to reduce Marantz AV8805 output to prevent Audyssey from setting the trim to -12db after room calibration. 5

[1x Pad Knob] Works perfectly, highly recommended. I was at a wedding where the only out was a speaker and my levels were still peaking at 1. I lowered the levels through this and it was fine. This has saved me at more than 1 wedding!! 5

[Attenuator/Pad] Using this to step down hot signals when I patch into an existing sound system. The variable attenuation offers me the flexibility to be ready for anything. The only thing I would change is to make the knob smaller so its easier to fit in my kit. 5

[1x Pad Knob] The Sescom 6-Position variable inline attenuators are a requiremet for any SoundFX recordist attempting to record extremely high SPL sounds. The variable adjustments allow you the option to attentuate the signal prior to your preamps. These are my go to for gun, rocket and plane recordings. 5
