This 2-stop, 130 x 173mm FotodioX Soft-Edge Graduated ND Filter 130x173mm 2-Stopfrom FotodioX Soft-Edge Graduated ND Filter 130x173mm 2-Stopis designed for use with the Cokin X-Pro series or FotodioX Pro 130mm filter holder systems. It helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 2-stop reduction in light from entering a lens. This filter is made of durable, CR39 optical resin and measures 2.9mm thick. A plastic sleeve is also included with the filter.

A: Unfortunately, there are no compatible grids or softboxes for this particular LED light.

Q: 4. What's the weight of the light with batteries when you're holding it? Thanks!

A: The weight of the FotodioX Pro FlapJack LED Wand C-308AS Bi-Color Edge Light is 6.94 lbs, while the weight of the NP-F740 batteries together would be approximately 0.9 lbs. As such, the weight of the FotodioX Pro FlapJack LED Wand with the batteries would be approximately 7.94 lbs.

A: Grids are not universal.

Q: 9. Regarding the output of the light, how bright is it at its highest setting? For example, it is comparable to a 500w light, 650w, 1000w, etc. in terms of how bright it can get

A: Wow, one guy says 65 watt equivalent, another guy says 650 watt equivalent. What a difference! Here is the definitive answer: An old-school 750 watt Lowel Tota tungsten light puts out 2,700 lux at 3.3'. This light puts out between 778 and 865 lux at 3.3' (depending on your color; 5600K mode is brighter than 3200K mode). That's ~30% as much light as the Lowel Tota or the equivalent of a 220-240 watt tungsten light.

Q: 10. How many LEDs is in this?

A: Fotodiox does not list the number of leds but please note this light uses leds that are reflective in that they come in from the side. They will have less than the front facing type.

[0.1 lb] Well built Tiffen filter, what else to say? Prob a .9 would be a better choice for bright day, but happy purchase.

[7.25 x 6 x 0.1"] Obviously, there are drawbacks for round, screw-in GND filters vs. square, sliding mount filters, but if you want something small and compact for travel, then this is it. The area of transition is fairly sharp (hard), which I actually like - some filters are too soft for the gradient to really be evident.

[Rigid Plastic] Thank You for your excellent service. The ND filter arrived and was to be a gift, so use hasn't occurred yet. I just like B&H- rather than some of the other vendors. Sincerely, C.

[7.25 x 6 x 0.1"] I bought this product for taking pictures of the Grand Canyon. There is marked difference between the canyon exposure and the sky. The sky is much brighter than the canyon landscape. Also there is very define edge between the top of the canyon and the sky. This will prevent over-exposing the sky and keeping a very good balance between the two, the top 1/3 of the image and the bottom 2/3rds. This does it job and saves post editing work

[0.1 lb] The Nikon 14-24mm WA lens is extremely sharp, but I do use polarizers and split ND filters. Thankfully, FotoDioX came out with a filter system for the lens. The Grad ND filter is one of several available and they work very well. I have to say that the lens itself requires large filters and holder, and that does add bulk to your shooting kit. Nontheless, for the landscape work I do, they are essential if I want to use this extremely fine lens with filters.
