Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the country of origin for this product?

A: The Yamaha MG16XU Mixer is made in Malaysia.

Q: 2. In which country is the Yamaha MG10XU made, the one in your store is made in China? Made in Malaysia ?

A: The Yamaha MG10XU 10-Input Mixer with Built-In FX and 2-In/2-Out USB Interface is made in Malaysia.

Q: 3. How FX send works?

A: The FX level on each channel also feeds to TRS FX send (TRS output) for routing to devices such as external FX units or monitor mixers

Q: 4. Can I connect a mic pre-amp to this board? I assume the TRS input of the combo jacks will bypass the internal pre-amps. Thanks!

A: Good Morning, We do not use a preamp with the MG10XU as For our setup there is no need we use a amp after the MG10XU. This allows us to connect a smart phone or a computer to the amp to be heard over the speakers when needed.I do hope this helpsArt

Q: 5. Can You Record While Playing live On To A Recorder?

A: Yes, you can connect the output from the Yamaha MG10XU Mixer to an audio recorder to record a live performance. You can also record directly to a Mac or Windows computer, or to an iPad using the mixer's built-in USB audio interface.

Q: 6. Can I do loop back recording? Where I can record a vocal in real time over a karaoke track played from a web browser or media player.

A: Unfortunately you cannot it's a mixer not a recorder.

Q: 7. How stable is the USB connection? Can you use it during gigs?

A: I have not heard any complaints about stability of the connection itself. I have heard about some of the most recent Windows OS updates not being compatible with this mixer. Another small mixer with a usb connection that is known for its reliability would be B&H part # MAPROFX12V2.

Q: 8. Does the interface works on mac.what should I do to use it

A: yes, just plug the usb cable on the mixer and your mac, and on sound preferences select input and output MG10XU

Q: 9. When to use the 'pre' switch on AUX1 and AUX2 in Yamaha MG20XU mixer for singing and what would be the effect please?

A: Nobody answered this for this poor fellow? Those "pre" buttons are to set the sends to PREFADER....in other words you can turn down the gain or volume on the output to main, but the full signal will still continue to the AUX bus.

Q: 10. How to connect this mixer to a subwoofer?

A: If the subwoofer has a Left / Right input and output, you would go from the Yamaha MG10XU Left / Right main out - into the subwoofer - out from the subwoofer to the Left and Right top speakers. Alternatively, if the subwoofer does not allow you to send the signal out, and the speaker has a line/mix output, you can connect that to the subwoofer.

[45.5 lb] This was the only case I decided on after months of research. If your going to get the Allen & Heath Mix Wizard 4, get this case. It has removable front and rear panels that allow air flow that will prevent heat buildup. The angle is perfect and extra room for connecting cables.

[36 x 30 x 11"] The qualities that I like about this case: -the top cover only goes in one way as the latches are oriented to know which way the board is front and back -you can remove the rubber foots via screw-driver if you like -the casters are nice and wide so that the bearings don't get abused too much from the weight -with the new board, there's a little bit of room under it, so we store additional cables and other simple accessories in there

[36 x 30 x 11"] This case works quite well. I saw other cases for this mixer that weigh twice as much as the mixer. This weighs about the same as the mixer so it becomes a little heavy, but still manageable for one person. My only complaint is the feet. They are hard, smooth rubber, which is slippery. The case slides too easily on the table. I'm afraid it might get knocked off the table. I am still searching for soft, sticky rubber feet to replace them.
