The black DB-CIJ3D Consumer Stereo Input Jack from RDL is a complete unbalanced line-level audio input module. The front panel features two gold plated phono jacks and a single stereo mini-jack, intended for stereo consumer level sources. An input signal may be connected to either the phono jacks or to the mini-jack. The inputs are balanced through audio transformers configured to reject induced hum. A stereo line-level output is provided on the rear-panel detachable terminal block for connection to 10kΩ or higher input impedance line-level module or equipment inputs. It is used in installations requiring stereo unbalanced line level audio sources to feed stereo balanced (or unbalanced) audio lines.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you use a splitter to listen on headphones while recording from the DR-07X to an external device such as a Canon SL2?

A: Yes you can. If you are losing too much level you can get a small headphone amp.

Q: 2. Does this work for both moving coil or moving magnet phonos?

A: Unfortunately the manufacturer does not specify which cartridges are recommended, however we would recommend this unit for use with MM cartridges for best results.

Q: 3. Will the DR-05X play wav files recorded on another device and then copied to the micro SD card?

A: Yes, you can play WAV files that were recorded on another device as long as the files were copied onto a compatible microSD, microSDHC, or microSDXC card. The DR-05X can be used with memory cards up to 128GB capacity.

Q: 4. Can the device clock be synchronized with the clock from a computer?

A: No. This will not accept an external sync or clock source.

Q: 5. Can I connect the cables going from the Audio Output from my synth in to the Tascam device (Audio In) for Line level recording? Assuming I have all the right cables of course. I just want to simply digitally record the waveform coming from my instruments when I play them. Not use microphone. I want dedicated line recording.

A: Yes you can. Use a dual 1/4" TS to 3.5mm TRS cable. The 1/4" ends will connect to the synth's left and right outputs (the cable is labeled) and the 3.5mm ends into the min/line input on the Tascam. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/160640-REG/Hosa_Technology_CMP_159_Stereo_Mini_Male_to.html

Q: 6. Is the file in MP3 format?

A: The Tascam DR-05X can record audio files in MP3 or WAV format.

Q: 7. If I have an external stereo input plugged in, can I adjust the levels on the Tascam for the recording? If so, can the L & R channels be adjusted independent of one another, or would any adjustment apply to both channels?

A: There is no indipendent adjustment of left and right. You would need to make those adjustments in post.

Q: 8. Can you use the dual recording function while recording in auto mode to obtain a second lower track in case the auto track spikes?

A: Unfortunately not. Once you are in Auto you have no level control. And what you do to one track you do to both.

Q: 9. What is the deepest table/desktop thickness this stand can be mounted on, i.e. 2.5 inch thick desktop, 3 inch thick desktop, etc.?

A: 2.1 inches.

Q: 10. Does this allow vertical movement of the flash?

A: Unfortunately, the Godox MF-DB Bracket for MF12 Flash does not allow vertical movement of the flash. It only moves horizontally.

[< 0.2% (1 kHz)] I ordered this to replace a broken transformer that was causing interference in our systems. Works great.

[0.55 lb] RDL's XLR jacks offer an attractive alternative to locking panel/wall jacks that eventually fail to lock/unlock. The Decora style makes it easy to match with other connectors in their line.

[< 0.2% (1 kHz)] I had an awful hum coming from a newly built PC. Research brought me to B&H for this purchase. I installed it in a few minutes, booted the PC, hum gone. Amazing, actually. This unit is Plug and Play. Worth every penny.

[0.55 lb] Works exactly as promised. In our theatre sound system (anchored by a Yamaha CL-1 digital mixing console) sound from any laptop source (we tried three) would be clear until the laptop was also connected to the Barco projector. Once connected, an audible 60Hz hum would be created. It didn't matter if the projector was connected by VGA or HDMI cable, and running the laptop on battery instead of AC also made no difference. Hum Killer to the rescue. Problem solved.

[< 0.2% (1 kHz)] This interface resolved some issues with using a TOA amp pre-out to feed our FM transmitter. Five minutes to install it, problem gone.

[0.55 lb] Used to combine a pair of Behringer C-2 condenser mics into a single channel, creating a wide cardioid. Much higher gain (20 dB) than using a simple dual XLR-F to XLR-M Y-cable. Only wish there was a better way to attach to a mic stand than zip ties.

[0.55 lb] Upon installation the hum was gone completely. Just plug it in and it is working, no external power needed.

[0.55 lb] Quick way to add a self powered sub to a 70v system. Also have fed a main PA the E-page system before. Works perfect!

[0.55 lb] Has been excellent to use. My only wish is that they integrated it into their audio mixer and/or offered this unit with several channels. That might help get the cost down. You almost always need at least one of these, and often several. Ground loops are just a reality and this helps.
