Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many millilitres does it take to fill the Multi-Reel 8 Tank?

A: The standard rule of thumb is 10 oz (300 ml) for each 35 mm plastic reel, or 2400 ml or 80 oz. It's a good idea to add a little more chemistry than that. Even if you have 7 rolls of film, you must add the 8th reel and the chemistry to reflect 8 reels to make sure no light leaks in the gap.Or, you may use 5 rolls of 120 film to fill this tank. Each reel requires 500 ml (17 oz), for 5 rolls 2.5 liters (85 oz). Any other combination of 120 and 35: before loading, stack your reels and make sure the funnel locks in place. If too high, the funnel won't lock in place. Don't do it. You won't have a tight seal and you will leak light and fog your film, or worse.

Q: 2. what's difference between this and Paterson 4 x 5 Sheet Film Developing Tank with Reel?

A: Thus reply may not be helpful, but I will try -- Paterson tanks have interchangable parts. Between the parts you will need to buy and those you may already have, for 4x5 you will need a tall tank, a long center tube, and a 4x5 holder. The holder looks vaguely like a dragon and holds up to 6 sheets. I have loaded mine with up to 4 sheets in a changing bag. The tank holds twice the developer of a short tank (which is for one 120 roll of film.) If you have two 120 spools, you can develop two 120 rolls. instead of the 4x5 sheets.Other parts: a funnel to make the tank light tight, a tank top to keep the fluids in place, and a twist part to allow agitation. These are the same for small or large tanks and come with the tank.l

Q: 3. Is it necessary to fill up the whole tank with chemicals even if you're developing only 1 or 2 rolls ? I understand that empty reels should still be stacked up to prevent the loaded reel to move too much but still need to be sure if the less than full tank affects developing in a bad way ?

A: No it's not, below the tank you can find the specific volume for each number or reels either 120 or 35mm, just make sure as you said the empty reels are stacked above to prevent it does not get chemicals.

Q: 4. how many feet of cable are on this reel?

A: How many feet of cable this reel is able to handle will be determined by the Outer Diameter of the cable used. For a cable that is .41 OD you'd get 750 feet, while a .67 OD cable will give you 250'. Here is a chart that goes over a few different cable runs:0.41 OD: 750' (228.6 m)0.45 OD: 600' (182.9 m)0.49 OD: 500' (152.4 m)0.58 OD: 350' (106.7 m)0.67 OD: 250' (76.2 m)

Q: 5. Does this kit come with any reels, or must they be purchased separately?

A: You have to purchase separately.

Q: 6. Can you use two MOD54's in this tank?

A: Yes, you could fit two MOD54s in the Multi Reel 8 tank.

Q: 7. Is the Paterson Multi-Reel 3 Developing Tank with 3 reels?Or just a tank?I need to buy 3 reels?

A: You will need 3 reels.

Q: 8. Does this include a funnel and agitation tube?

A: It comes with a Paterson 35mm Tank with Reel (Super System 4) and a 35mm plastic reel. A funnel and agitation tube are not included.

Q: 9. where does b & h offer reels to accommodate this purchase, since it does not come with reels?

A: Here is the reels you need for the developing tank. You can get 2 reels for 120 film or 3 for 35mm to fill the tank. The reels are expandable so they can accommodate both film types.

Q: 10. So the reel says 290 ml? Can someone break down how much developer to water I use?

A: This tank holds 20 US OZ. Look at your developer dilution. I use Sprint chemistry. For 2 rolls of 35 mm it is 4:16 and the same for one roll of 120 fiilm. The ratio is 4 oz of developer to 16oz if water.Hope this is helpful,Karey

[8x LC] i purchased this to run in a drop ceiling in a large building. i didn't want anything to hurt the fibre, so i wanted it armored. (I EVEN ACCIDENTALLY RAN THIS CABLE OVER WITH A SCISSOR LIFT!!) this armored cable is a beast! THIS CABLE DID NOT WORK FOR ME AT FIRST! i was sweating bullets trying to figure out what was wrong! i called their customer service and figured out quickly that they are manufactured as CROSSOVER cables. i had to pop the plastic duplex connector off one end and swap the two fiber cables. then all worked beautifully! LOVE THE PRODUCT!

[< -55 dB] We use this to get audio/video to the front and back of large conference rooms, works great. The cable is only as thick as a single regular XLR cable.

[62.5 µm] For Tactical fiber cables, these are ultra light weight, but they do take a beating! Great Cables!

[8x LC] While I wasn't a fan of the cost at first, this is certainly a product where we are getting what we paid for. Cars and trucks of all sizes run over these cables all the time while we are trying to set things up, and after a year, the cables still look new- no signs of damage or even wear. They have sat outside for over a month at a time, in the rain and snow (minus the ends), and they just work great.

[8x LC] Perfect solution instead of re-ending long fiber runs. Product is well made and works great. Make sure you match the fiber mode.
