Allows the use of two pieces of equipment at once, such as a modem and phone

Helps to recover from overloads; no need to replace a fuse

Shutters protect users from accidental contact with unused outlets

The P8T3 SurgeArrest is fail-safe, which means that once its protection circuitry has been compromised, the SurgeArrest disconnects plugged-in equipment from the AC power line, ensuring that no damaging surges reach the equipment

The P8T3 surge protector will warn you if its circuitry has been damaged by a heavy strike or power line surge and it is unable to provide complete protection. If still under warranty, APC will then replace your damaged SurgeArrest free of charge

The P8T3 SurgeArrest components such as MOVs and thermal fuses ensure instantaneous reaction to lightning strikes and wiring faults. If the surge components are damaged due to a power spike or over voltage, excess power cannot reach your equipment. This ensures protection to your equipment from other damaging surges

This device allows you to connect bulky transformer block plugs without covering up other outlets

The indicator illuminates when connected equipment draws more power than the unit's capacity. To resolve the problem, unplug less vital equipment

The Building Wiring Fault Indicator LED informs users of potentially dangerous wiring problems in the wall circuit

Attenuates EMI/RFI line noise that can cause data errors and keyboard lockups, ensuring better performance of protected equipment

The right angle plug allows for equipment and furniture to be placed closer to the wall than with a standard power cord. It also reduces cord stress

A 180° rotating cord with strain relief offers flexibility in positioning this device and in routing the power cord

Keeps cords and cables neat and organized

Prevents damage to your equipment from electric power surges and spikes

Lifetime $150,000 equipment protection policy

This surge protector has a let-through rating of less than 85V, which is the maximum voltage level that can reach your equipment after a surge or voltage spike has been suppressed. This device complies with local agency safety requirements, including UL in North America and CE/Kema/Gost/C-tick/A-Tick/Telepermit in their respective regions

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. replacement battery for back-up pro 700?

A: Shipping cost is based on weight, and batteries are not light. Look for a local source, or someone who can pick one up and haul it for you. We'd buy batteries from an electronics shop in Spenard, and someone from Valdez or Cordova, Alaska would usually pick them up for us. Much cheaper than shipping by truck and barge, as batteries are not shipped by air or the mail system.

Q: 2. What is the warranty on this unit? I have searched web sites and the only remark I could find was a 3 year warranty but no specification of what that includes. So basically, does the 3 year warranty also cover the battery. Also, how old are these units when you received them; I'm told if the manufacturing date of the product is more than 6 months old, you are getting cheated on the life of the battery since they only last so long?

A: This product has a 3-Year Repair or Replace Warranty.

Q: 3. Hello, Since this device is Simulated Sine Wave and not Pure Sine Wave will it be able to keep my G Tech hard drives running or do they require Pure Sine Wave? Thank You Very Much. John

A: This can be used to power a computer and computer peripherals.

Q: 4. can i plug can I plug the APC Back-UPS Pro External Battery Pack in to this backup?

A: Why don't you call the manufacturer they are more qualified to answer the question. I did have one issue with the backup and that was I had too many devices connected to it and when it performed the self test I would get an error message that indicated a space issue and power problem. I called the manufacturer and they solved my issue.

Q: 5. Can this unit be used for audio/video equipment?

A: It should work fine for audio/video equipment. It stabilizes the energy source and steps in with uninterrupted power in a lost power situation.

Q: 6. Anytime my ups is fully charged as indicated by the screen as soon as the the utility power is off the charged battery indicator will quickly fall so i just want to know what is exactly causing this problem ?

A: Too much load or battery is bad.

Q: 7. Is the fan always on? Or does it only turn on when charging the battery or when delivering power? If the fan only comes on when needed, how often does it turn on?

A: I've used many of these over the last couple of decades and I've never heard a fan come on unless the power is out and the unit is supplying the power.

Q: 8. how warm do these units get?

A: Can't say this has ever been an issue.. The fan operates and keeps the unit cool only when it kicks in during a power failure. During normal operation I can't say I've noticed any excessive heat coming off the unit.

Q: 9. FOR HOW LONG WILL STILL WORK AFTER POWER OFF?

A: The amount of time the UPS will provide power to your equipment is entirely dependent on what is connected to it and how much power it is using.

Q: 10. Is there any problem with laying this unit on its side due to the lead acid battery? I'd like to get it, but due to space restrictions, I would need to lay it down to use it.

A: yes, it will need air flow when in battery back up mode. It is possible that it also needs it for normal cooling. It is designed to be upright for air flow. This has nothing to do with the batteries, because they are gel type.
