This is an empty Military Standard Waterproof Case from SKB. It is a water and airtight gasket sealed submersible case built to be UV, solvent, corrosion and fungus-resistant. Construction is made from an injection molded polypropylene copolymer resin that is also impact-resistant.

A pressure equalization valve is included to balance the ambient and enclosed gases that accumulate during transit. This helps maintain the integrity of the case's seal. Accessing the interior is via a four trigger release latch system. The rear hinge is molded-in for strength. The carry handle features a rubber over-molded cushioned grip. There are locking loops that will accept a user-supplied lock.

A: Pelican lid organizers are compatible only with Pelican products.

Q: 7. Is this unit coming with layer foams ? I heard that trying to fit a Yamaha DTX 12 (with no clamps) was a tight press down for the covers and probably you need to remove a layer for an accurate fit and lid closure ?

A: Hi Jayaraj, The foam is glued into the case. This was specifically designed around the Yamaha DTX 12 and should fit with no issues. You do want some compression when closing the lid so the equipment does not shift around. We do offer the same sized case with cubed foam if you would rather create your own interior. A: Yes, I bought this case for my Roland SPD-SX about a month ago and love it. Fits perfectly.

A: You could use a TSA Lock accessory with the iSeries DSLR Pro Camera case, yes.

Q: 10. Will this case fit a Nikon D610 with a grip?

A: I don't believe so. My camera just fits in there without a grip.

[Yes] So while Pelican has been the defacto injection molded case for some time, (I currently own about 20 of them), I'm done with them. Why? On one fateful assignment recently, I had a Pelican lid crack all the way through. Undaunted, I contacted Pelican to see about a replacement lid since the cases (allegedly) have a lifetime warranty. But guess what? Pelican does NOT warranty ANY damage incurred during travel on commercial airlines. Seriously? Isn't that what WE BUY THEM FOR?? So.... I started looking around, and have since purchased two new SKB cases and love them. Time will tell if they'll hold up as well (I suspect they will, based on how incredibly well built they seem to be) but if not, I know that SKB WILL warranty damage incurred during air travel because I contacted them and specifically asked before purchasing. What I thought Pelican did all along..... 5
