Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What accessories would I need to attach my edelkrone head plus?

A: The Edelkrone Headplus can be attached to a tripod, or another product, with a 3/8"-16 screw. The jib in this kit includes such a screw.

Q: 2. I have a Miller set of sticks with 75mm ball mount. Will the crane fit onto these? There are no specs on the mounting options at the base of the jib.

A: Yes. It can mount to a 75mm ball mount as well as flat mount.

Q: 3. I've just bought this (from B&H - arrived today) and I want to check... Load capacity of 33lbs means total load capacity yes/no?Right now I have my rig and the rear weights loaded at 33lbs.

A: According to iFootage support the total load (camera rig PLUS counterweight) cannot exceed 15kg. As for a fully extended arm you need twice the counterweight, that means for full extension max camera rig weigh is 5kg.

Q: 4. Will this work on a MacBook Pro with theTB3 chassis ?

A: BlackMagic Design does not list the DeckLink Duo 2 as compatible over a Thunderbolt connection which is required for use in an external chassis.

Q: 5. Does this head use the same base plates as manfrotto?

A: No, this does not use the same quick release plate as Manfrotto. It uses the proprietary QR8PRO quick release plate. https://bhpho.to/3tqPKm6

Q: 6. Has anyone used 2 of these together in a pcie thunderbolt3 enclosure on the same computer?

A: While we are not aware of a specific example of this, it is possible with a large enough chassis and a computer that has enough power to run both.

Q: 7. Can this handle the Sony FS700 and Manfrotto 504HD head or a benro S8 head ?

A: The Sony FS700 with lens and mic is about 5 lbs. The Manfrotto 504 is 6.39 lbs. The Benro is S8 is 5.7 lbs. Depending on configuration, the M1-III Mini Crane Jib can handle 22 lbs to 33 lbs. You are fine with either head and the camera.

Q: 8. Will this work in a system with another identical card already in it? How will the second card present itself to video mixing applications (like OBS)? I'm imagining it being "Decklink Duo (5)" up to "Decklink Duo (8)", I just wanna make sure before I buy a second one

A: You can have multiple DeckLink cards of the same or different model in a system. Different video applications will label the cards and inputs/outputs differently.

Q: 9. Do the jib and tripod come with carry bags as seen in the video?

A: Yes, carrying bags are included with the jib and tripod.

Q: 10. Does this come with the travel case?

A: no this does not come with a travel case

[9 µm] While I wasn't a fan of the cost at first, this is certainly a product where we are getting what we paid for. Cars and trucks of all sizes run over these cables all the time while we are trying to set things up, and after a year, the cables still look new- no signs of damage or even wear. They have sat outside for over a month at a time, in the rain and snow (minus the ends), and they just work great.

[9 µm] We use this to get audio/video to the front and back of large conference rooms, works great. The cable is only as thick as a single regular XLR cable.

[LC] 6 strand LC cable works well. Very flexible and is weatherproof.
However this is NOT tactical cable don't roll any tanks over it!
Works well with LC couplers, I have joined 3 together with no issues.
Cable comes coiled very small. I laid it out in the sun for a few hours and removed most of the cable's coil memory.

[-55 to -45 dB] What a great value! And great quality!
The only negative is I wish there was some support for the dangling connectors while installing.

[OpticalCON DUO] We pulled it through 3/4 conduit and it worked out great. We used a mesh so that the ends wouldnt have any tension when we pulled. We ended up connecting two of these in a dry location with couplers. Still working fine after a year.
