Holding the center pedal down keeps the mouse button active to allow for drag and drop operations. Clicking with a foot can help alleviate RSI (repetitive stress) issues if the operator experiences pain performing mouse click operations by hand

This version of the XK-3 features front-hinged pedals. Three pedals are provided for instant momentary activation of a computer command such as a mouse click or hot key trigger. Activation requires just slight additional pressure from the toe or ankle. This design is optimized for mouse clicking and drag-and-drop operations. The outside pedals provide additional functions and are easily reached to the left or right of the main pedal

Although the XK-3 works universally with any operating system or software that accepts mouse inputs, you may want to program it for custom applications. To this end, X-keys provides free tools downloadable from their website. For Windows they offer MacroWorks 3.1 and for OS X they offer ControllerMate. In addition, SDKs (software developer kits) are available with support for multiple programming languages for Windows, Linux, Android, and Raw HID, the latter supporting any language and OS

A: The ikan Teleprompter Foot Control Pedals is made specifically for use with the ikan teleprompters running Prompter Pro 4 software and cannot be assigned outside the software/hardware.

A: I think it would. There is a little room side to side. However, if you're going to add the finger loop to the handgrip then I don't think so.You might want to check out Lowpro Adventura SH 100 II or something like that. A lot cheaper. I didn't find that until after I already bought this.

Q: 4. Could the screw at the bottom be used to screw into a set of legs for a monopod....what size is the screw. What diameter is the top part?

A: The foot is designed to clamp onto the 694CX monopod which has a 5/8 diameter bottom section. The steel screw is imbeded in the clamp part. The rubber foot is threaded and screws up and down on the steel spike to expose or hide it. Contact Manfrotto if you need to know the size/thread of the spike. I suspect it is metric.

Q: 5. What is the diameter of the part of the foot that attaches to the tripod?

A: The hole is 3/4-inch diameter (19mm).

A: Unfortunately, the Manfrotto Retractable Spiked Foot Set is not compatible with the older Manfrotto 190D tripod.

Q: 8. Will these fit on a 190X Tripod? I ordered a similiar set of feet from Amazon but they were too small to fit on the legs.

A: Yes the retractable Spiked Foot Set (3) are for the 190XB, 190XDB, 190XPROB, 190CX3, 190CXPRO3, & 055CXPRO4 Tripods.

A: Yes all of our Xkeys keyboards are compatible with Premiere Pro.

Q: 10. Has anybody used this with FCPX? Can you tell me what functionality it has with that application? Thanks.

A: This has twelve buttons that can be set to any key commands you use frequently in FCPX. In addition to the keys, you can set key commands for the jog dial as well.

[18 mA at 5 VDC] This thing just works! Right out of the box we had it set up and programmed in a few minutes. Using it to bring up video grabs in a hurry during hockey games... saves us a lot of time and means anyone can drive the system without needing to know their way around the mixing software. We're in Australia and we received it from the US in three days. Very impressed! 5

[2.25 lb] I use it with the free online teleprompter at cueprompter.com. I programmed one pedal to start and stop, another pedal to slow down, and the third pedal to speed up. Just wish it had a fourth pedal to return the script to the top of the page.The foot pedal means that i can be a lot more authentic and natural when reading the script unlike those people you see who just stare at the camera and talk at exactly the same pace for half an hour. 5

[2.25 lb] I have 8 XKEYS panels for 4 VMIX's, 1 for 4 channels of Chyron, 1 to toggle ENPS for news rundowns, 1 for the production truck that runs the graphics. Also a backup that's never needed to be used. Great boxes, no problems, easy to program. 5

[18 mA at 5 VDC] So easy to program. I downloaded the software and set this baby up within minutes to use to replicate just the arrows of a USB keyboard. I plan on getting another differently shaped model too. The company was very user-friendly and it is all very intuitive to setup. 5

[18 mA at 5 VDC] We will use the XK-3 foot Pedal to control our song set. We can scroll thru our songs up or down start a song and when the song ends stop it before the next song starts to play. When I received my XK-3 Media Player Foot Pedal I hooked it up to my laptop and my laptop was connected to my Bose L1 II rehearsed that evening and the XK-3 worked like a champ, the true test will be using it in a live concert.The quality of the XK-3 Media Player Foot Pedal seems to be very good. It has some weight to it looks like it should hold up but time will tell. 5
