Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I'm guessing the answer is Yes, but can I develop 1x135 AND 1x120 in ths Multi-Reel 3 tank? But not 2x135 and 1x120.

A: That is correct. Either a single 35mm and a single 120 at the same time OR two 35mm OR two 120. A tip if using one 35mm and one 120 is to take half of another reel and put that in the top of the tank to make sure the two teels with the film are pushed below the developer level. Sometimes in certain instances if you leave that gap the reels will float to the top after agitation and they may rise above the level of the developer leaving part of the film in the top reel to be undeveloped. Putting one side of another reel on the top prevents that from happening.

Q: 2. Will this work on a MacBook Pro with theTB3 chassis ?

A: BlackMagic Design does not list the DeckLink Duo 2 as compatible over a Thunderbolt connection which is required for use in an external chassis.

Q: 3. Can I use it for 4x5 format sheet films?

A: Yes, you can buy an insert or fold them up with hair ties (search taco style ) and it works.

Q: 4. Will it accept the Nikkor/Honeywell stainless steel film reels ?

A: No, stainless steel developing reels are not compatible with this tank.

Q: 5. Will this card help me to keyout the lyrics to an Atem switcher in order to add them to my livestream program and the projector?

A: Yes if you have software that will deliver key and fill signals to separate ports. It is best to check with your software provider to see if this card is supported.

Q: 6. Can this card input signal analogue/ composite from a sony mc2500 camera?

A: this card only acept SDI can be in format SD or HD. Not analogue (composite)

Q: 7. Will this work in a system with another identical card already in it? How will the second card present itself to video mixing applications (like OBS)? I'm imagining it being "Decklink Duo (5)" up to "Decklink Duo (8)", I just wanna make sure before I buy a second one

A: You can have multiple DeckLink cards of the same or different model in a system. Different video applications will label the cards and inputs/outputs differently.

Q: 8. Can I use this system for a 3-4 camera livestream setup where I can see every connection as an independent video source that I can switch between in the software? And if so, is there a 4k version available yet?

A: Many have suggested here that the decklink 8k Pro would be a comparable card with 4k resolution. Let me warn you, IT IS NOT! As someone who purchased the 8k card and have since returned it, know that the marketing material/ info is actually deceiving. It seems like it would allow for 4 separate in/s out/s at a time, but it doesn't actually do that. It's more of like a quad channel card, or a single input and output card, as opposed to 4 separate inputs or outputs.

Q: 9. Does this come with a full height bracket or only half height?

A: It only comes with the low profile (half) bracket.

Q: 10. Does this card work with Windows 7 professional x64? And into a Pcie x16??

A: This card is compatible with the 64-Bit Versions of Windows 7, 8 and 10. It can be installed in to PCI Express 4 lane and is compatible with 4 and 8 lane PCIe slots.

[50 µm] Perfect solution instead of re-ending long fiber runs. Product is well made and works great. Make sure you match the fiber mode.

[50 µm] While I wasn't a fan of the cost at first, this is certainly a product where we are getting what we paid for. Cars and trucks of all sizes run over these cables all the time while we are trying to set things up, and after a year, the cables still look new- no signs of damage or even wear. They have sat outside for over a month at a time, in the rain and snow (minus the ends), and they just work great.

[Multimode] We use this to get audio/video to the front and back of large conference rooms, works great. The cable is only as thick as a single regular XLR cable.
