This 100 ft Camplex opticalCON QUAD Multimode Fiber Tactical Cable Reelfrom Camplex opticalCON QUAD Multimode Fiber Tactical Cable Reelis a four fiber broadcast interconnect cable with a heavy duty tactical reel. It features a Neutrik opticalCON QUAD NO4MX connector on each end, COCA factory terminated and interferometrically tested to GR-326-CORE endface standards. The connectors have common LC contacts and a mechanical shutter system that shields against endface contamination. The cable is tested for < -55dB typical return and comes with diagnostics documentation. The reel includes a side reel flange.

The connectors are assembled using the Neutrik opticalCON ADVANCED system, which adds lockable, waterproof metal caps and rubber guards, especially critical for outdoor applications. This improves the cable protection and water resistance in long-term use.

Q: 1. Is it necessary to fill up the whole tank with chemicals even if you're developing only 1 or 2 rolls ? I understand that empty reels should still be stacked up to prevent the loaded reel to move too much but still need to be sure if the less than full tank affects developing in a bad way ?

A: No it's not, below the tank you can find the specific volume for each number or reels either 120 or 35mm, just make sure as you said the empty reels are stacked above to prevent it does not get chemicals.

Q: 2. So the reel says 290 ml? Can someone break down how much developer to water I use?

A: This tank holds 20 US OZ. Look at your developer dilution. I use Sprint chemistry. For 2 rolls of 35 mm it is 4:16 and the same for one roll of 120 fiilm. The ratio is 4 oz of developer to 16oz if water.Hope this is helpful,Karey

Q: 3. Do I necessarily need to develop either 3 35mm rolls or 2 120 rolls to use it or can I develop just 2 35mm rolls?

A: You can certainly develop anywhere from 1-3 rolls without any issue.

Q: 4. where does b & h offer reels to accommodate this purchase, since it does not come with reels?

A: Here is the reels you need for the developing tank. You can get 2 reels for 120 film or 3 for 35mm to fill the tank. The reels are expandable so they can accommodate both film types.

Q: 5. Does this kit come with any reels, or must they be purchased separately?

A: You have to purchase separately.

Q: 6. how long does it take to fill up the entire tank with chemistry? i believe 5rolls of 135 would require 1500ml of it. do you need to compensate for time to avoid over develop negatives in the bottom?

A: It's only a matter of 10-15 seconds. I compensate about 5 seconds and have never had issues! I've never directly measured how much chemistry, but use a 2L kit and life is easy. I would guess its more around 1600ml!!

Q: 7. I know it says that this (Paterson 35mm) tank will take a single 35mm but will it also take a single 120?

A: No.If you want to develop for 120 film, check the Paterson Universal Tank with Two Reels (Super System 4) On that one you can adjust the reel height to accomodate the 120 film.

Q: 8. what's difference between this and Paterson 4 x 5 Sheet Film Developing Tank with Reel?

A: Thus reply may not be helpful, but I will try -- Paterson tanks have interchangable parts. Between the parts you will need to buy and those you may already have, for 4x5 you will need a tall tank, a long center tube, and a 4x5 holder. The holder looks vaguely like a dragon and holds up to 6 sheets. I have loaded mine with up to 4 sheets in a changing bag. The tank holds twice the developer of a short tank (which is for one 120 roll of film.) If you have two 120 spools, you can develop two 120 rolls. instead of the 4x5 sheets.Other parts: a funnel to make the tank light tight, a tank top to keep the fluids in place, and a twist part to allow agitation. These are the same for small or large tanks and come with the tank.l

Q: 9. How long is the snake?

A: No cable is provided with this item; it is just the reel. The reel's capacity is dependent on the outer diameter of the cable you use. Cable Capacity:0.41 OD: 750' (228.6 m)0.45 OD: 600' (182.9 m)0.49 OD: 500' (152.4 m)0.58 OD: 350' (106.7 m)0.67 OD: 250' (76.2 m)

Q: 10. is this light tight without the rubberized cover? i.e. just the funnel thing in place.

A: Yes, it's light tight as long as you have the funnel set in correctly and twisted until it snaps in place.

[LC] I have a reel with just one channel on it, but found out it's cheaper to buy this cable and just remove the bracket from the LC side. Comes right out without cutting anything.

[-55 to -45 dB] We use this to get audio/video to the front and back of large conference rooms, works great. The cable is only as thick as a single regular XLR cable.

[LC] We have been using four TFS DuraTAC fiber reels for outdoor events over the past three years without any issues. Cable diameter is slightly less than competitive cables but they are more durable because they are reinforced with stainless steel armored tubing. Highly recommended!

[-55 to -45 dB] I wrapped a 250ft Outdoor POE CAT6 Network Cable on this reel and it really works well. Not the most durable reel I have ever used but for a network cable it's just what I needed.

[Multimode] Perfect solution instead of re-ending long fiber runs. Product is well made and works great. Make sure you match the fiber mode.
