It features a Neutrik opticalCON QUAD NO4MX connector on each end, COCA factory terminated and interferometrically tested to GR-326-CORE endface standards. The connectors have common LC contacts and a mechanical shutter system that shields against endface contamination. The cable is tested for < -55dB typical return and comes with diagnostics documentation. The reel includes a side reel flange.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this product be ordered with a divider disk?

A: Sorry, we were unable to find any information that Hannay Reels provides any storage reel with a divider.

Q: 2. how long does it take to fill up the entire tank with chemistry? i believe 5rolls of 135 would require 1500ml of it. do you need to compensate for time to avoid over develop negatives in the bottom?

A: It's only a matter of 10-15 seconds. I compensate about 5 seconds and have never had issues! I've never directly measured how much chemistry, but use a 2L kit and life is easy. I would guess its more around 1600ml!!

Q: 3. Does the multi 8 system come with the center column, or is it sold seperately?

A: Yes Aaron mine had the center column with it.....

Q: 4. Will the catlabs 8x10 reel work in this tank?

A: No, the CatLABS CL81: an 8X10 Sheet Film Processing Reel is made specific for the Jobo MultiTank 5. Not the Paterson Super System 4 Multi-Reel 8 Developing Tank. This is the link to the Jobo 2550 Multi Tank 5 (640mL), https://bhpho.to/3plCZu0 .

Q: 5. is this light tight without the rubberized cover? i.e. just the funnel thing in place.

A: Yes, it's light tight as long as you have the funnel set in correctly and twisted until it snaps in place.

Q: 6. Is it necessary to fill up the whole tank with chemicals even if you're developing only 1 or 2 rolls ? I understand that empty reels should still be stacked up to prevent the loaded reel to move too much but still need to be sure if the less than full tank affects developing in a bad way ?

A: No it's not, below the tank you can find the specific volume for each number or reels either 120 or 35mm, just make sure as you said the empty reels are stacked above to prevent it does not get chemicals.

Q: 7. I'm guessing the answer is Yes, but can I develop 1x135 AND 1x120 in ths Multi-Reel 3 tank? But not 2x135 and 1x120.

A: That is correct. Either a single 35mm and a single 120 at the same time OR two 35mm OR two 120. A tip if using one 35mm and one 120 is to take half of another reel and put that in the top of the tank to make sure the two teels with the film are pushed below the developer level. Sometimes in certain instances if you leave that gap the reels will float to the top after agitation and they may rise above the level of the developer leaving part of the film in the top reel to be undeveloped. Putting one side of another reel on the top prevents that from happening.

Q: 8. Does this reel come with the handle and crank? Description says they're optional, but I don't see them listed under the accessories.

A: As you see it, it comes with the tall, non-folding top handle and that direct crank handle. However, if you need to save space, you can order an optional, folding top handle and an optional, removable crank handle.

Q: 9. Does this kit come with any reels, or must they be purchased separately?

A: You have to purchase separately.

Q: 10. How long is the snake?

A: No cable is provided with this item; it is just the reel. The reel's capacity is dependent on the outer diameter of the cable you use. Cable Capacity:0.41 OD: 750' (228.6 m)0.45 OD: 600' (182.9 m)0.49 OD: 500' (152.4 m)0.58 OD: 350' (106.7 m)0.67 OD: 250' (76.2 m)

[LC] I have a reel with just one channel on it, but found out it's cheaper to buy this cable and just remove the bracket from the LC side. Comes right out without cutting anything.

[50 µm] While I wasn't a fan of the cost at first, this is certainly a product where we are getting what we paid for. Cars and trucks of all sizes run over these cables all the time while we are trying to set things up, and after a year, the cables still look new- no signs of damage or even wear. They have sat outside for over a month at a time, in the rain and snow (minus the ends), and they just work great.

[LC] We have been using four TFS DuraTAC fiber reels for outdoor events over the past three years without any issues. Cable diameter is slightly less than competitive cables but they are more durable because they are reinforced with stainless steel armored tubing. Highly recommended!

[-55 to -45 dB] We use this to get audio/video to the front and back of large conference rooms, works great. The cable is only as thick as a single regular XLR cable.
