The Electro-Voice ETX-35P Three-Way Powered Loudspeakerfrom Electro-Voice ETX-35P Three-Way Powered Loudspeakeris a high-power three-way loudspeaker that is suitable for a variety of portable and permanent applications. The DSP (Digital Signal Processing) menus offer extensive configurations, crossovers, selective voicing, protection limiters, EQ modes, and a lockout mode that prevents casual changes to the system. The system performance is optimized via an LCD screen and the front LED indicates power, or can be configured to indicate limit.

The high-sensitivity transducers have been optimized for precise coverage and low distortion. The subwoofer is manufactured using composite cone materials, flux stabilizing rings, and thermal management, yielding lower distortion, smooth response, and the ability to handle high SPL. The high-efficiency DH3-B compression driver (tweeter) has a convex diaphragm driving a coherent phase device, thereby extending frequency response to 20 kHz.

The company's FIR-Drive (Finite Impulse Response) technology utilized the latest filter technology to optimize transducer linearity, and advanced limiter algorithms for independent peak and thermal transducer protection. The enclosure is constructed out of 18-mm, 13-ply birch plywood finished with EVCoat. Designed for floor, stacked, or a combo pole cup installation, the speaker also features eight M10 threaded suspension points.

Q: 2. Can you adjust the power of the lights?

A: No. The only way I've found to adjust it, is just to move the position, either closer or further. Still a great light for the money. I love it and have 4!

A: Yes, that is a good kit and is good for travel. The case is very strong for under the plane.What many do when traveling by plane is take the bulbs out and hand carry them.

A: You may use the Vello FreeWave LR Wireless Flash Trigger and Receiver Kit B&H # VERFWLR.

Q: 5. Can the impact 50x50 or 50x70 softboxes for florescent fixtures be used with this lighting kit?

A: Unfortunately, those softboxes are specific to the FF series lamp heads from Impact.

Q: 6. This kit comes with the Chimera Speed ring adapter correct?

Q: 7. Can I use a slave with that?

A: Yes. It will work with the Impact SF-AE80 AC Flash units.

Q: 8. Does it work for any voltage? 110 volt & 220?

A: It is a standard Edison (E26) porcelain socket, switch, and hefty wire; voltage should not matter. However, the cord is terminated with a 3-prong plug (hot/neutral/safety ground) which is standard to the US (and other countries). Obviously, you would need a (hefty) plug adapter to connect to a different form of power receptacle.

Q: 9. can a softbox be attached to these?

A: Unfortunately, no, you cannot attach a softbox to the Impact SF-AE80 AC Master/Slave 3 Flash Kit (110-130VAC).

Q: 10. what is the voltage required for this item? Can I have one for a 220-240V

A: Unfortunately, this slave kit does not come in a 220-240V version. To get a strobe set up for 220-240V, a monolight system would be best. One in particular to consider is the Impact Two Monolight Kit (220V) B&H # IMEX100A2LKX. [Active 3-Way] Needed a portable PA setup for our library programming needs. We do a lot of programs out in wide open spaces like our front lawn and parking lots, so we needed a setup that would accommodate. Enter the EV ZLX 12 connected to a R0DE Wireless Go 2! Not only does it serve the purpose, but handles it with ease making it simple for staff to setup without the help of I.T. Staff report that it's plenty loud (only half volume), but clear too! Ours is going on nearly 3 years strong, & 2 drops from 3 feet high! These are tanks, and will serve the purpose long after we think to replace it. Also B&H Photo are rockstars in getting it us quickly, and in one piece! 5

[96.5 lb] Really natural sounding speaker in a tough but lightweight cabinet. Versatli can be a floor wedge, stuck on a stick or flown with the optional eyebolts or mounting bracket. 5

[136 dB (Peak)] I run a system in my church and currently own 6 of this speakers. 2 are elevated main for Highs and mid on 2000 watt amps and a driverack. The other 4 are stage monitors 2 on 1000 w amps and 2 on 2000 watt amps all the ones that are use for monitors are running in full range. They have awesome High and mid, and for the size the low is not bad at all. Great response when used with a drive rack or crossover. Really light and really heavy duty. Would recommend to anyone. 5

[136 dB (Peak)] These things are incredible. By themselves they are great but with subs this system will rip. Equally at home as a stage wedge or on a speaker stand. Currently, have 2 set up with 4 JBL MPro subs. The subs run out of headroom way before the tops. The built in DSP is nice. I don't much care for the presets on it but having the ability to bypass that and have full manual control is amazing. Well worth the price tag. They are not light but I would much rather a plywood box than a plastic box so the weight is something I will gladly deal with. 5

[96.5 lb] I have used these for several years, and have been listening to various pairs for over 10 years. Last I knew the first pair I heard were still on the road. The enclosure is very well designed and extremely easy to carry. Electro-Voice designed the carry handle based on suitcase handle research, and they are the easiest to carry speakers I have ever encountered. I can carry one in each hand with ease. As to sound quality, these speakers are so accurate that some people don't know what to think at first. I have never found a full range cabinet that had a clearer or more accurate sound. Having installed these in various buildings, and traveling with my own pair of SX300E's I have found these speakers to be so versatile and reliable, that I rarely if ever use an EQ even in installations. These are a bargain at any price, and a great addition to any system. 5
