The Sony LMD-A240 24" LCD Production Monitoris a portable, 1920 x 1200 resolution monitor for on set, studio, and broadcast use. The monitor features an IPS LCD display with wide 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, and it provides 3G/HD/SD-SDI, HDMI, and composite inputs that support NTSC/PAL, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p input signals with frame rates from 24p to 60p.

The monitor introduces several new features and upgrades from previous LMD series monitors, including a new low-latency automatic I/P conversion, a new video processing engine for improved image accuracy, on-screen tally, and yoke mounting screw holes. The monitor also provides a wide range of professional monitoring features. such as built-in waveform and vectorscope, focus assist with adjustable colored peaking, timecode display, and a Slog2 to Rec 709 LUT.

A built-in audio decoder lets you display up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio. Audio can be monitored using the 3.5mm headphone jack on the front panel, or with the 1W built-in speaker. A composite input with loop-through output provides connectivity for standard-definition analog devices and is paired with a 3.5mm stereo mini jack audio input. Two Ethernet ports provide connectivity for serial and parallel remotes; letting you control and load monitor settings via your network, as well as upgrade the monitor's software. For use in the field, there is a 12 VDC power input on 4-pin XLR.

The monitor is compatible with standard VESA 100 x 100mm mounting hardware. Optional rackmount brackets are also available. Monitor feet are included.

[1920 x 1200] I'm using this with a Zacuto Z-finder that came off my Sony FS7. Works well - expensive but worth it because it made an absolutely hopeless Sony monitor a good one. 5

[IPS-Type LCD] This addresses the loose viewfinder LCD on the FX most elegantly. The worthsmanship is the best and the range of adjustment is perfect. It is expensive but you get what you pay for and when you make a living with these cameras it's really important. I own 3 of these for my multiple FX6's. 5

[IPS-Type LCD] I was hesitant to spend the $$ on this, and disappointed that Sony didn't design a stronger way to keep the LCD monitor from sagging when I put my FX9 loupe on, but this Vocas LCD Monitor support kit holds it like a champ. I also like how the hinge dampens during the movement. 5

[Yes] The Sony Fx6 is a great camera with one exception. The monitor flops around is is unusable in everything but the most static kind of shoot. I've been happy with the monitor and loop of the Fx9 and now this allows me to have it on my fx6. Thanks to Vocas & B&H! 5

[16:10] This very well designed unit solves a big problem for the FX-6. when you add the magnifier, the lcd flops down, can't support the weight. This slips onto the LCD viewfinder, no tools needed. It allows for adjustment but supports the LCD so it stays put. I've never bought anything that did a better job of solving a problem. Worth every penny. 5

[IPS-Type LCD] Another well designed piece of gear, although expensive. I considered buying the option with the extra extension, but I found that I didn't need it. The viewfinder cable gets pretty maxed out just using this adaptor. There might be another inch that you could extend if you buy the kit. 5
