The Midas DL431 Input Splitter Unit | Audio Signal Splitteris a 6U 19" rack fixed configuration unit which features 24 mic/line inputs. Each input feeds three separate preamps, two with separate gain controls, the third being fixed gain. The two variable-gain preamps feed separate ADCs, which then pass 96 kHz digital audio to the AES50 ports. Four discrete AES50 outputs supply dual-redundant digital audio to AES50 networks, and allow for easy connection to any AES50 device, such as an HD recorder, network bridge, or mixing console.

Two balanced analog splits (sourced post each mic amp) are provided on the rear panel. The third, fixed-gain preamp feeds a transformer-isolated split on the front panel for recording or broadcast applications. The two variable gain preamps are remote controllable from two separate locations, such as front of house and monitor positions. Front panel controls and local monitoring with integral headphone amplifier also make the DL431 usable as a standalone device. Also, its integral dual-redundant power supplies are designed to ensure peace of mind at all times.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I have a 4k output device and use the splitter with a 4k tv and a 1080p tv, will each tv get their respective resolution signal? I've seen some other splitters that scale 4k signal to 1080p to both devices because of the lower resolution on one tv.

A: No it can not. It does not have the ability to scale the output to match the display. It will output the lowest common denominator to all displays. For example, in your scenario all displays will receive 1080p. Consider the Kopul HDMI 2.0 1 x 4 Splitter BH #KOHDMISP1420 • MFR #HDMISP14H20 if you need to mix different display resolutions.

Q: 2. What is the HDMI port speed?

A: The port speed is a HDCP 2.2 which can handle speeds up to 18gbps.

Q: 3. Just to confirm, this product has been tested to send two 1080p signals up to 45 feet. Is that correct? Thanks.

A: Yes, KanexPro states that the 1x2 HDMI Splitter extends two HDMI signals up to 45 feet.

Q: 4. Does this item create a new source on your TV?

A: The Kanex Pro 1x2 HDMI Splitter does not create a new source but rather splits one HDMI input into two HDMI outputs.

Q: 5. Is the HDMI input box and the HDMI output box separate like wireless or are they build together on top of each other?

A: This is just a splitter box. The picture view is the front and the back of the box.

Q: 6. I want to connect this to my high end laptop and add 2 more monitors. Is it going to see it like split monitors or its going to be one long monitor? Basically will this recognize as 2 more monitors and split them

A: It will be displayed what the main video will be coming in. If I understand the question correctly .

Q: 7. will it support 50+ ' cable length?

A: This will not support cables that are longer than 50 feet. However HDMI cables in general start to lose quality once you go past 35 feet. For runs of 50 feet and longer we suggest HDMI extenders from companies like KanexPro and Avenview. They will send a signal as far as 300 feet over a Cat6 cable.

Q: 8. I have a samsung smart tv with two hdmi inputs. I use one for cable and have to constantly switch out the second one between 3 other items will this solve that problem? Also Will I be able to use two items that are plugged in to the splitter at once. For example a PS4 and a sound bar? Thanks for your help.

A: No It only has 1 input. You would be in the same situation. This is for sending a signal to multiple tvs.

Q: 9. I'm only getting outputs on ch. 1& 2. 3& 4 won't send signal. I'm sending 1080p to my switcher. Ch.3 I changed cables to connect to a monitor and no picture. What are the cable requirements for HDMI on this switcher?

A: I would check the working cables with the ports that not working. If those cables are longer runs that could be the issue. A good cable choice is BH #KOHDA525BR or BH #COHDHD25EST

Q: 10. Will I support different size displays to the outputs?

A: If you mean physical size yes. The monitor size does not matter.

[56.7 lb] We needed to take a single signal and send it to 4 speakers ... opened the package, plugged in the cords and ... sound! Would, and probably will, order another one!

[24 x 22 x 17"] We were looking for a splitter to use on stage so we could run our own monitors and give the house a clean feed. 24 channel splitters cost a lot more than we were willing to pay at the time. A sound guy we worked with suggested getting 3 of these instead of a single 24 for a fraction of the cost. We did and the rest is history. We have tested these extensively while practicing and have used both the directs and the transformer feeds for our sound. We play loud country & rock and we couldn't tell the difference between the outputs. We've only played out with the new set up a couple of times, but so far it is everything we hoped for at a great price. We couldn't be happier.

[56.7 lb] I purchased the ART S8 for a location recording project where I needed to send the stage mics to the front-of-house mix & my location Protools setup. It worked as advertised. I got the feed I needed for my recording & FOH got the feed she needed for the house sound. A good inexpensive solution. A nice addition to my location audio toolbelt.

[56.7 lb] This is just what we were needing to do remotes. we break off facility mixers and bring into our own mixer. It creates a lot of cabling but this is fine with different color cables. Just ordered the ARTs8 3 way to put in line in our studio. We will be using that to split our feeds and go to two separate programing computers. unit is 1ru and well made. Sound was clean and provides a great deal of versatility

[24 x 22 x 17"] I needed an inexpensive audio signal splitter for a dual indoor/outdoor audio system setup I had built to send my satellite radio signal to both systems so I could have the same signal on both simultaneously or run them independent of one another. The JIB/S Jack In The Box Signal Splitter fit the bill perfectly. For $ I got a well-built splitter with one input and four outputs that allowed me to configure my setup exactly as I had envisioned. Build quality of the unit is great and it's compact and produces high-quality output signals. All jacks are 1/4 so I did have to adapt a couple of my cables but I had no problems finding what I needed at a local consumer electronics shop. NIce product!
