The Blue Sky 6D Digital Studio Monitor - Star System Onefrom Blue Sky 6D Digital Studio Monitor - Star System Oneis an individual powered monitor with digital inputs that is part of the Star System One Monitoring System, providing precision and accuracy for film, television, and gaming audio post production, as well as music recording and mixing.

The Sat 6D utilizes a 6.5" high excursion radial magnet woofer and 1" ring radial tweeter. The digital circuitry features FR4 6-layer circuit boards, Burr-Brown 192 kHz/24-bit AD/DA converters, and a Cirrus Logic Digital receiver and sample rate converter. In addition, the Sat 6D has a "Pure-Digital" mode for 48 kHz and 96 kHz operation, where the native input from the AES/EBU receiver is sent straight to the DAC.

The on-board USB data port provides speaker settings, updates and room correction inputs, which includes a 1/3 octave, 31-band digital graphic equalizer plus 8 bands of parametric EQ and filters. The system includes Blue Sky's Speaker Management Software that works in tandem with the included Speaker Room Optimization and Binary Organic Optimization software to calculate precise response curves to measure and optimally correct room problems. The Sat 6D ships with a removable "port" plate and IEC power cord.

A: The cable will attach to the camera body directly. Need to know make and model of the camera.

A: Can't help on UK taxes. You can use a regular tripod, but you need to point the axis of the mount at Polaris, which may be harder without the wedge. The wedge has a knobbed gear wheel for the elevation. You may also need a ball head to pint your camera at what you want to track. If so, get one with at least a 46mm head.

Q: 3. Is this tracker able to be operated without being connected to a phone or laptop? Most of my astrophotography is in areas where there is no cell reception, so My concern is I would not be able to operate it wirelessly in those areas (which would make the tracker useless to me).

[375 W] I was trying to use a sturdy camera tripod, but the whole mount would wobble in the slightest breeze. This tripod was made for the Star Adventurer. Components fit tightly. Tripod doesn't budge once set in the ground. The tray is great as a collection point for all the cables, transformers, intervalometer, etc. 5

[375 W] I find this tripod to be the perfect match for my SkyGuider Pro. It is very stable and sturdy. It supports all the weight I can give it with my tracker, DSLR and attached lenses. It comes with rubberized leg tips and an onboard level. It has a handy accessory tray. It extends up high enough to get comfortably under the polar scope of my tracker. B & H suggested it as a great alternative to the 1.25-inch iOptron Tripod and I am glad they did. Thanks B & H. 5

[375 W] I bought this (and waited for it) because it was more or less made for my mount. It was a good purchase for that reason alone. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it is as light and compact enough to drag it around when I go out. I was suspicious at first because of it's light weight but it is more steady enough with the tray installed. There were no instructions with the tripod and at first set up I couldn't get the tray installed properly. I found that simply getting it into place before completely spreading the legs was the trick and then it locks easily and solidly into proper position. 5
