Q: 1. Rotatrim says this has "user option to enable two-way cutting". How does this differ from the smaller ones?

A: The Rotatrim Pro Series Paper Cutter / Rotary Trimmers smaller than 20" have cutters that do not have a backwards cut preventer installed; the Rotatrim Pro Series 20" Paper Cutter / Rotary Trimmer (and larger sizes) have backwards cut prevention installed. The prevention device can be removed by the customer--therefore it is optional for these sizes.

Q: 2. Does B&H sell the metric version the metric version (with the metric grid) of this trimmer too?

A: We do not have the 36" Rotatrim Professional (Mastercut) rotary cutter with metric markings.

Q: 3. does this come with the blade and bolt and nut for the bolt also?

A: Yes, The following unit is a full cutting head replacement.

Q: 4. The RCB100 pictured on Rotatrim's website has two holes, for the dual rails. This seems to be meant for the monorail systems. Are you positive this is the right product number?

A: The MFR # on this is incorrect, the RCB100 is in fact the head for a double rail system.

Q: 5. Is this product electrical?

A: Yes, it is electrically powered and includes a foot switch.

Q: 6. Can the unit be easily re-squared if it goes slightly out of square?

A: Yes it can easily be re-squared.

Q: 7. How difficult is it to temporarily remove the black side guide?

A: The guide on the Rotatrim Pro Series 24" Paper Cutter / Rotary Trimmer has a screw that accepts a flat head screwdriver to remove.

A: Temporarily removing the black side guide of the Rotatrim Pro Series 24" Paper Cutter / Rotary Trimmer requires some attention to detail, but is not very difficult.

[5 lb] I am a paper crafter and have to cut paper daily (I teach classes, sell items, and gift items). I have been using popular brands of paper trimmers found in craft stores. When my latest one broke, I decided to upgrade in hopes I would find a better, more durable cutter. I cannot review it's durability yet, but the few days that I've had it has really impressed me. It cuts through my cardstock like butter. I don't have to push down on the blade assembly at all. I'm also super excited that my paper/cardstock doesn't have to be angled to get it to cut square. The trimmers I've been using by Fiskars did not have level grids, so my cuts weren't square unless I angled my paper a bit. I was told that it was my cardstock, but now I know better. I also appreciate the fact that Rotatrim is honest in respect to its self-sharpening blade. They do need to be replaced eventually, so they sell replacement blades. All in all - I'm thinking I have found a great trimmer that will stand up to my crafting. It is heavier and larger than my other cutters, but that makes me feel it is built well. 5

[5 lb] I bought this to trim my 8.5 x 11 inch photo paper down to 8x10 inches (since nobody makes that anymore) and is very accurate. Heavy, too. Very high quality. 5

[5 lb] I didn't know what I was missing all these years getting along with guillotine trimmers. This thing is fantastic! Super well made, square, slides through paper and laminate with ease. In fact, it's just fun to use. I am mainly trimming 5 mil and 10 mil laminate sheets, and it does so very cleanly, with little effort. It can cut very narrow strips. It never folds down the edge of the laminate like a guillotine trimmer sometimes does. And it is easy to view the edge I am cutting. Love it. 5
