The Kupo 20" Master C-Stand Kit with Turtle Basefrom Kupo 20" Master C-Stand Kit with Turtle Baseis a 20" Century Stand designed to support light fixtures and modifiers weighing up to 22 lb. Additionally, the stand has been given a black finish achieved by applying a black powder coating to the metal frame.

Constructed with both strength and capability in mind, the Master C-Stand features three sections—two of which are extendable—which bring the stand's maximum height to 68.1". At its lowest, the stand collapses down to just 36.8", and is capable of supporting up to 22 lb at either height.

The stand's base is made up of a traditional three-leg configuration with each leg set at a different height to allow for stand "nesting" on set. Of the three legs, two feature a spring-loaded design which rapidly extends and locks them into place, while the third may be height-adjusted via a locking knob on the riser's main section. In order to improve strength, the base has been cast from durable zinc alloy, making it five times stronger than traditional aluminum designs. The locking collars have also been cast from aluminum in order to prevent damage and maintain longevity.

A: I can't imagine how this runway stand base would work with a Dana doll. This is a roller base. Insert a C-Stand riser column into it's receiver, and you've got a rolling light or monitor stand. Very sturdy and a good buy.

A: I believe American and Matthews are interchangeable but Avenger is Metric so I am not sure.

A: Being that this Kupo base has a 1 1/8" receiver, it can accept other C stand columns, like the Matthews Riser Section for C+ Stand (40").

[5/8" Stud] I have some C stands on the wheels and have been debating if I should get another on wheels since I LOVE THOSE SO MUCH. I got this one to hold my studio backdrop and since my studio floors and not leveled I wanted to make sure I can adjust the legs to where my backdrop wont warp because of the unevenness. It works perfect!! Being able to adjust the legs is huge on slanted floors. 5

[1 x C-Stand] I love these Kupo C Stands with the Turtle base as they are heavy duty and not too heavy, easy to break down and are smaller for transport due to the detachable stand. Always use a sand bag with these. This is a 15# sand bag on this stand. 5

[Round] Great quality, solid, boom strong enough to hang large painting from it. While lowering and raising, you must hang onto the moving piece, as there is no air pressure stop. If you want light weight, don't buy this, but I like the weight for being sturdy for location shoots. For studio you might want to add casters to roll it around. 5

[1 x C-Stand] I've only used general purpose stands prior to this that of course were super lightweight. I knew this would be an adjustment, but also have had fears on certain locations, even with sandbags, of my stands easily tipping over. Well, I can definitely say i don't have that fear here lol I have yet to take it on location, though I have used it at home for personal projects so I can better familiarize myself with it. Love the boom arm as I didn't have one prior. Will be a game changer for me. I will continue to sandbag on locations, however, I can say that with no sandbag, this stand is insurmountably more stable than my general-purpose stand with a sandbag. So while it's weight may be a con in some situations, I feel the stability will far outweigh (no pun intended lol) that con. Added tidbit, youtube was definitely helpful teaching how to properly use a c-stand. 5

[16 lb] These c-stands are great if they are permanent in your studio and you don't need to transport them. If you need to transport then regularly get the same stand with the turtle base which comes apart from the pole. 5

[Yes] Got three of these to try them out, now I'm getting more to fill out the studio. Super sturdy staple in any studio space. The turtle base is the only way to go. They fold up and transport really nice, and you're not left guessing which way to pull out the legs. I tried the cheaper brands, and they don't even come close. Wise investment. 5
