The FreeWave Viewer VL AV & Shutter Release Cable for Canon 6D, 7D, 5D Mark III, and 1D Mark IV from Vello will connect your camera to the FreeWave Viewer VL transmitter and allow the transmitter to send a live preview feed to the viewer. One end of the cable connects to the transmitter, and the other end to the camera. The side of the cable that connects to the camera splits in two; one side is a Mini USB AV connection for sending the video signal to your viewer, and the other is a 3 pin connection for the shutter release to fire the camera.

A: You can set the Receiver to control any one of up to four cameras outfitted with Transmitters that are set up within range of the Receiver. Unfortunately, though, it does not appear as though we carry the FreeWave Viewer VL Wireless Live View Remote separately.

Q: 5. does it come with the np-60 battery charger?

A: The Vello FreeWave Viewer VL Wireless Live View Remote includes an AC USB wall adapter and a USB cable. The batteries are charged while in the unit. The transmitter and receiver are charged separately.

Q: 6. As a Nikon user, I notice that the models listed are older models of the D3xxx and D7xxx line. Will it also work with The D3300, D7100, and D7200?

A: This device is only compatible with the Nikon D3100, D90 & D7000.

Q: 7. I would like to also use a flash. is there a way to add a wireless flash. I would be using this to take remote pictures of hummingbirds. please advise.

A: Yes, there are various ways to add a wireless flash along with the Freewave Viewer VL. The method you use would depend on your specific Camera, Flash, and wireless system. Q: 8. will this work with Canon 60D?

A: The transmitter is only going to work with the Canon 6D, 7D, 5D Mark III, & 1D Mark IV.

A: Yes: the Vello FreeWave Viewer VL Wireless Live View Remote Kit will work with the Canon T7i.

Q: 10. Will this work for the Canon D7 Mark II? Thanks

A: I learned too late that it does not currently work with the 7D Mk II. Previous models of the Canon cameras use a mini USB to transfer the video, but the 7D uses a micro USB. B&H said the do not currently have a cable that will fit that configuration. Kudos to B&H for prompt phone service and a full refund.

[0.06 lb] What can you say, it's a cable. I originally bought the Vello viewer for a Canon 5D Mark II but then I had a real need for it on my Canon 7D, but the original cable would not work. Being able to buy just the cable and not the whole viewer again saved a lot of money and room in a bag. Thanks to Vello for making a simple option to expand the viewers use and to B&H for carrying it 5

[12" (30.5 cm)] My thoughts on this product are very good , ( Nikon users ) . If you have D3 series or D4 YES D4 it will work, as long as you have a 10 pin connector and a microphone input it will work. When I asked the help line they said (NO) it won't. It does. 5

Thus, leaving the hot shoe available for other purposes. Its size invites you to throw it in your camera bag. Me, I never take a trip without it. 5
