Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How is this supposed to attach to an im2500 case? There are no screw receiver holes in an im2500 lid as there are on the 1510.

A: This Mesh Lid Organizer for Pelican 1510/1535/IM2500 Storm Case can be easily installed in your case lid with the included screws.

Q: 2. Will this work in a system with another identical card already in it? How will the second card present itself to video mixing applications (like OBS)? I'm imagining it being "Decklink Duo (5)" up to "Decklink Duo (8)", I just wanna make sure before I buy a second one

A: You can have multiple DeckLink cards of the same or different model in a system. Different video applications will label the cards and inputs/outputs differently.

Q: 3. 39.7 lbs or 26.4 lbs? Confused about the 2 different counter balances.

A: The counterbalance is 8.8 lb to 26 lb on the Manfrotto 612 Nitrotech Fluid Head with 645 FAST Twin Carbon Fiber Tripod System and Bag. The head itself can support a payload of up to 39 lb.

Q: 4. Can this handle the Sony FS700 and Manfrotto 504HD head or a benro S8 head ?

A: The Sony FS700 with lens and mic is about 5 lbs. The Manfrotto 504 is 6.39 lbs. The Benro is S8 is 5.7 lbs. Depending on configuration, the M1-III Mini Crane Jib can handle 22 lbs to 33 lbs. You are fine with either head and the camera.

Q: 5. Can I use this system for a 3-4 camera livestream setup where I can see every connection as an independent video source that I can switch between in the software? And if so, is there a 4k version available yet?

A: Many have suggested here that the decklink 8k Pro would be a comparable card with 4k resolution. Let me warn you, IT IS NOT! As someone who purchased the 8k card and have since returned it, know that the marketing material/ info is actually deceiving. It seems like it would allow for 4 separate in/s out/s at a time, but it doesn't actually do that. It's more of like a quad channel card, or a single input and output card, as opposed to 4 separate inputs or outputs.

Q: 6. Has anyone used 2 of these together in a pcie thunderbolt3 enclosure on the same computer?

A: While we are not aware of a specific example of this, it is possible with a large enough chassis and a computer that has enough power to run both.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Apache 5800 case from Harbor Freight?

A: The A-MoDe Limited Mesh Lid Organizer for Pelican 1510/1535/IM2500 Storm Case has not been tested with the Harbor Freight Apache 5800 case. The dimensions of the Apache 5800 and the Pelican 1510 Carry-On Case are close, so the lid organizer might work.

Q: 8. What are the dimensions

A: The Apple AirTag dimensions: Diameter: 1.26 inches (31.9 mm); Height: 0.31 inch (8.0 mm); Weight: 0.39 ounce (11 grams)

Q: 9. Will this work on a MacBook Pro with theTB3 chassis ?

A: BlackMagic Design does not list the DeckLink Duo 2 as compatible over a Thunderbolt connection which is required for use in an external chassis.

Q: 10. Are they water proof?

A: No, unfortunately the Apple AirTag (Single) are not water proof. They have a water resistance rating of IP67. This is basic protection for splash, water, and dust resistance.

[OpticalCON DUO] For Tactical fiber cables, these are ultra light weight, but they do take a beating! Great Cables!

[LC] 6 strand LC cable works well. Very flexible and is weatherproof.
However this is NOT tactical cable don't roll any tanks over it!
Works well with LC couplers, I have joined 3 together with no issues.
Cable comes coiled very small. I laid it out in the sun for a few hours and removed most of the cable's coil memory.

[-55 to -45 dB] I ordered these Thor Fiber units as a suggestion from a pal; boy am I glad I took his advice. These little babies are awesome! and for the price they can't be beat. On top of that they had awesome tech support and helped get my issue resolved pertaining to frame rate as soon as I called. I'll be using these for now versus spending a small fortune on Telecast every time I need a quick fix.

[9 µm] While I wasn't a fan of the cost at first, this is certainly a product where we are getting what we paid for. Cars and trucks of all sizes run over these cables all the time while we are trying to set things up, and after a year, the cables still look new- no signs of damage or even wear. They have sat outside for over a month at a time, in the rain and snow (minus the ends), and they just work great.

[9 µm] We pulled it through 3/4 conduit and it worked out great. We used a mesh so that the ends wouldnt have any tension when we pulled. We ended up connecting two of these in a dry location with couplers. Still working fine after a year.

[OpticalCON DUO] What a great value! And great quality!
The only negative is I wish there was some support for the dangling connectors while installing.
