A: I have not tried to remove the clamp an do not want to try (it may be on with lock-tight). However the USA rep is very easy to reach and can answer the question. A: The Arca-Swiss Monoball Classic System L-Bracket Camera Plate for Mamiya/PhaseOne 645 is incompatible with the Mamiya M645 1000S.

Q: 3. Do you stock the "Classic" version? Is there an advantage to the Microball mount?

A: I'm sorry but we do not carry the classic version, just the monoballfix. If you mean monoballfix, no there are just different mount systems and the monoball fix is only proprietary to Arca Swiss.

Q: 4. What is the position distance for a full turn of the knob on the Arca-Swiss Monoball X-Table System? Thanks.

A: When using the Arca-Swiss Monoball X-Table System. the position distance is 3.5 inches.

Q: 5. What tripod mounting plate is required to mount this system on a standard tripod head?

A: You need an Arca Swiss Z1 plate

A: The Arca-Swiss Monoball Classic System L-Bracket Camera Plate for Mamiya/PhaseOne 645 is not compatible with the Mamiya 645 Pro TL camera.

A: I use sunway l brackets and am very pleased.

Q: 9. Can I remove the top clamp and replace it with a normal classic arca swiss clamp plate?

A: While no reports of doing this have been made and we cannot test it, it is our opinion that the Arca-Swiss MonoballFix Quickset Device that is on top and which holds the quick release plate that it should be easily removable.

[0.35 lb] After seeing a few other headshot photographers use this tripod head I was sold. Having used a grip ball head that wasn't strong enough and then a head that was too fussy with all the different screws, this was perfect. It's quick and easy to move to exactly where I need it with just a quick twist and it's rock solid even with my 70-200 lens on it. My one request would be for the dial to be a little wider to make it easier to grip but that is just me, it still gets 5 stars from me as it's made my workflow during shoots much smoother. Would I buy again? Yes!! 5

[7 x 4.8 x 2"] I have been pleased with my Arca-Swiss monoball p0 ball head with the Slidefix QS quick release. This clamps an Arca-Swiss mounting plate with a lever action. Unfortunately it accepts only the smaller Arca-Swiss mounting plates, so I bought this version with Classic Quick Release. It has two dovetail receptacle widths and so can take both sizes of Arca-Swiss dovetail. The screw clamp is less convenient than the lever, but worth it since most vendors advertising Arca-Swiss compatible mounts mean the larger mount! 5
