With dimensions of 1.5 x 1.3", the Arca-Swiss Variokit MonoballFix Cameraplate Compactfrom Arca-Swiss Variokit MonoballFix Cameraplate Compactis designed for use with compact camera models. Featuring the Variokit designation, this model can have its dovetail rotated to be perpendicular to the plate itself, allowing you to move the camera horizontally. It is compatible with the classic Arca-Swiss monoballFix quick release system so you can easily attach or detach your camera from the tripod while shooting. Made of aluminum for durability, the plate attaches to your camera via a standard 1/4"-20 screw.

Q: 1. I would like to attach my Nikon D800 to my Black Rapid RS-7 curve strap using some quick release equipment ie arca swiss slidefix QA Camera plate and a Kirk QRC-1 Quick release clamp. Is this practical and are these reasonable componets to do it with?

A: It is doable but not practical, it's a little on the small side. I use that particular model for my Fuji X100, where it's just right. I would suggest going with the regular Arca Swiss system, I use a Really Right Stuff L-Plate which I just leave on the camera.

Q: 2. Arca-Swiss Cameraplate Index monoball Fix is compatible with a pin hole fitting Sigma sd Quattro? Thanks.

A: That camera is not listed as tested by Arca-Swiss. We have the opinion that there is a very good chance the locating pin will work.

Q: 3. Will this fit/work on a A7R3?

A: I am a photography enthusiast, recently bought this plate to mount my a7r3 with a monoball q0 ball head quick release system. It works good. I left it attached on the bottom of my camera. Sometimes I shoot handheld, the plate does not get into my way. Maybe because my supporting hand is holding the big lens, not the body.(sony 24-70 gm).

Q: 4. Does this have the pins for the hasselblad 907x body? Can the pins be moved to adjust accordingly?

A: Although this plate has an adjustable pin, it would not be compatible with the Hasseblad 907X.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with a Nikon D750?

A: Yes, it is compatible with a Nikon D750, assuming you have a Monofix ball head. This plate is not the standard Arca type plate.

Q: 6. is this compatible with 1dx canon camera?

A: Sorry for late reply. I don't have 1dx but this plate fit for my 5DMKIII.

A: There is a rubber grip on the top of the plate that keeps the plate in place without scratching the camera body.

[0.1 lb] I must admit, I tried to get other plates for my P0, which has the slidefix QS quick release, to save some money. The cost savings resulted in plates that didn't properly fit and wasted time. These however, do the job they're intended for. Save the headache and just get them for your P0 with the quick release. 5

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This is an absolute requirement in order to attach either a camera or lens to the superior margin of the Arca-Swiss Monoball X-Table System. The Cameraplate 75 for MonoballFix screws into the connecting points of either a camera or lens supporting ring and in turn connects to what appears to be an Arca-Swiss Monoball Fix Quickset Device attached to the upper surface of the X-Table System. The attachment of camera and/or lens appears to be secure and stable. 5

[Aluminum] Because the lens is set a little to the left of center (as seen from the back) this plate still allows the battery/SD card compartment to open fully without having to detach the QR plate. Sweet! Love the Arca-swiss quick release system! 5

[Aluminum] High quality product. Fits the Arca Swiss pO Classic perfectly. It goes into the narrow channel between the 2 small pins which stops it slipping out even when the clamp isn't done up tightly. Attaches to the 5D3 nicely. The supplied locator pin (which is probably easy to lose if the plate is removed) prevents rotation of the plate.Apart from the price it's perfect. 5

[Aluminum] I had some doubts before I order this product whether it would fit on my Contax 645. I wanted the pins to keep the heavy camera from slipping, especially in portrait orientation. Unable to find a measurement from the mounting screw to the pins I took a chance, and it fits perfectly. It's another precision made and expensive device made by Arca Swiss. Its actually two pieces of metal that fit inside each other and can be completely separated. Mine came with an allen wrench! 5
