Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This question is specifically for the “Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod and Xuma Smartphone Mount Kit”. Does this combo kit include all the components usually provided in the stand-a-lone “Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop” e.g. the center post attachment and storage pouch, etc?

A: It does come with everything the stand alone Oben CTT-1000 tripod normally has like the center post, plates, screws and hex keys. However, neither the stand alone tripod or this kit come with a tripod pouch.

Q: 2. Can this tripod handle an RB67 with a 140mm macro lens?

A: The Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod can support the weight of the Mamiya RB67 with a 140mm macro lens (e.g. the Mamiya Z 140mm f/4.5 Z Macro). However, due to the weight distribution of the system, you may need to use a larger quick-release plate and position the tripod's legs wider—rather than taller/narrower—to lower its center of gravity.

Q: 3. Can the Center Column be purchased as an accessory?

A: I'm sorry no, we do not sell that as an accessory. You would need to contact Oben to see if you can get it separately.

Q: 4. What is the diameter of the base with all the legs opened?

A: This tripod has 3 angle leg adjustment. After the 2 leg section has spread the distance between legs for each angle is small 9 inches, medium 18.5 inches, and large 23 inches. Unfortunately, we don't have a tool to help us calculate the diameter.

Q: 5. Will this tripod hold a D750 camera with 105mm lens, which is pointing at a down angle without tipping over? What angle can be accommodated?

A: It would support it at 45 degree

Q: 6. Does V3 reduce the amount of dropped links to flash units? This is a significant issue with V1 and V2 transmitters.

A: With the new ST-E3-RT III the improved high-performance hot shoe contacts for reliable information transmission and operation address this issue the previous models had yes.

Q: 7. how much does the tripod weigh without the ball head?

A: The Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod weighs in at approx 12.5 ounces without the Ball Head.

Q: 8. How much space is needed to set up and use the cutter? TIA

A: The working space would need to be larger than the length of the trimmer which is 46".

Q: 9. Is the height of the head calculated in the minimum height of 4.2"?

A: Correct it is from the lowest point to the top of the tripod head.

Q: 10. I just got my Oben CTT-1000 and I love it for horizontal/ landscape shots. But, whenn shooting portrait/vertical the tripod tips over to the side. Any workarounds for this? Thank you.

A: Yes, either configure a leg in line with the camera when it is in the vertical position or get an L bracket, which positions the camera directly over the center of the tripod and not off to the side.

[ST] I have a reel with just one channel on it, but found out it's cheaper to buy this cable and just remove the bracket from the LC side. Comes right out without cutting anything.

[ST] Perfect solution instead of re-ending long fiber runs. Product is well made and works great. Make sure you match the fiber mode.
