Q: 6. The Sound Devices Mixpre series has had quite a few quality control issues. I purchased the Mixpre 6 when it first came out and it never worked. Why should I be confident in any Sound Devices product?

A: Hi Scott, I am sorry to hear your MixPre-6 II "never worked." Can you please clarify what this means? Did you contact our support team to determine what/if anything is wrong with your unit?

Q: 7. Clarifying question: are left and right outs related in any way to stereo vs mono? Do both left and right out play the full sound output?

A: The signals from the left and right main outputs of the Mackie ProFX10v3 10-Channel Sound Reinforcement Mixer with Built-In FX are influenced by the "Pan" selection of each channel. The pan knob determines which side of the mix each channel's signal is sent to. For instance, channel 1 could be panned hard left, and channel 2 hard right, and channel 1 would only come out of the left main output while channel 2 only came out of the right main output. Panning can be done definitively to either side or anywhere in between, and the main outs will accurately interpret these selections in their output signal.

[4.51 lb] I bought this to install in a church. We had a 137-foot run under the stage, down the side of the auditorium, and over to the mixing console, so a 150-foot snake was perfect. The cable and connectors are durable and tolerated us pulling through twisty paths and around corners for our 137 distance. Once everything was connected, we tested all lines and everything worked perfectly. Couldn't be happier!

[8] I use this as a sub snake at Church. This replaces a bunch of long microphone cables to the back wall. I use two of these snakes to split up the vocalists and keep cable clutter to a minimum. I am pleased with the build quality. The only suggestion would be to make the channel numbers larger/easier to read.

[8] 4 channel xlr snake great for recording small drum setup in next room. Durability unknown but is built solid, the distal connector box is basically a weapon, so I am hopeful it will last some time.
