This Manfrotto XPRO 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head 200PL-14 Quick Releasefrom Manfrotto XPRO 3-Way Pan-Tilt Head 200PL-14 Quick Releasehas a load capacity of 26.5 lb and can be attached to tripods or other support systems that feature a 3/8"-16 mount. It includes an integrated RC2 quick release cam lock and a 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate. RC2 compatible quick release plates such as the 200PL-14 can be removed from the head by pulling the cam lock's spring-loaded lever, which also allows the plate to be quickly reattached. The cam lock also features a safety catch to prevent the 200PL-14, or another compatible quick release plate from accidentally disconnecting.

Cameras, sport optics, or camcorders that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the quick release plate before securing it to the pan-and-tilt head. The head can be rotated 360°, tilted 90° forwards or 30° backwards, as well as 90° sideways for portrait orientation. Each of these three movements function independently of each other, have dedicated control handles, and can be locked into place. In addition to integrating the ability to individually lock the movements by twisting each corresponding handle's rubberized grip, the telescoping control handles for both tilt functions can also be retracted while the head is not in use for more convenient storage or transport.

To promote fast and repeatable device positioning, this XPRO 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head also includes a dedicated angle scale for rotational movements that is designed for easy visibility, as well as dedicated control knobs set under the telescoping control handles that can each be rotated to apply tension control to either the backwards and forwards, or sideways tilt movements at any time.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can i use this head with a canon 100mm 2.8L lans and collar? or the pan or tilt arm could probably block the camera body position?

A: You can use the head with that lens/body configuration.

Q: 2. i just want to ask if this manffrotto head works on other tripods like the libec lx7 or on a slider ??

A: You can use the MHXPRO-3W 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head on other brand tripod legs, yes. The legs would simply need to have a 3/8-16 thread for mounting heads.

Q: 3. Will this fit on a Manfrotto #3021BN, which one can I buy to fit on #3021BN.

A: Yes. the Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head will be compatible on a Manfrotto 3021BN tripod.

Q: 4. Could this tripod head work with a 190XPROL?

A: Yes. The Manfrotto website says the 190XPROL is compatible with almost any standard photographic head. Certainly that assures that it will be compatible with the Manfrotto head. I have it on my Manfrotto 055 series tripod. Both heads look exactly the same - 3/8 inch male thread with 3 retaining screws.

Q: 5. Will this work with Manfrotto Model MK394-H Trypod?

A: I believe that MK394-H tripod has a built in head, so it can't be changed. I'd make sure that you can change the head before buying anything.

Q: 6. Does this tripod head work with Peak Design dual plate?

A: Yes, the Manfrotto XPRO 3-Way Head can accept the Peak Design Dual Plate v2 for Capture Camera Clip.

Q: 7. Rc 2 quick release

A: it takes the Manfrotto 200PL quick release plate

Q: 8. Up to how many degrees in angle can I shoot? Is it capable of portrait orientation?

A: It is capable of 135 of tilt in both directions, very easy to use in portrait orientation.

Q: 9. Can this tilt all the way so the camera is facing downward?

A: Yes. The Manfrotto XPRO 3-way pan-tilt head has the ability to tilt at a 90-degree angle downward.

Q: 10. Will this work with mmxpro500us monopod?

A: Yes, this will. First, remove the Manfrotto 500 fluid head to reveal the 3/8"-16 screw from the XPRO monopod, then mount the 3-way pan head onto it.

[Pan & Tilt Head] This is a very smooth, high quality pan-and-tilt head. Be aware that if you are planning on using it for travel, that it is heavy.

[Yes] This is a great head, but it’s heavy. If you plan on using it for nature photography, be aware that it will add a good bit of weight to your pack.

It holds my D7100 with grip and 55-300 well, even when I use it for macro with extension tubes and rail. It can hold some weight.

It’s smooth and easy to adjust.

Great head.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I am more than happy with this head. Easy and quick to adjust. Highly recommended.

[-90° to +30°] Small, Compact. Sturdy. Really like the collapsible handles. Variable tension is very useful as well. Pretty smooth all the way around.

[+90° to -30°] Very well built 3 way panning head that holds my camera and 100-400 lens perfectly. The bubble levels work nicely. The friction adjustment is a neat feature that is great. The mounting bracket is very secure. I am going to use it to track the sun with my filter on and also during the upcoming eclipse which is easier to do than with a ballhead.

[Pan & Tilt Head] I bought the XPRO 3-way Pan and Tilt Head kit with 2 QR mounting plates to replace a Manfrotto ball head I was using for a number of years on my Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod. When I upgraded to a heavier pro level camera I found the ball head to be unwieldy to adjust with the heavier camera and especially with a telephoto. It was also difficult to use with a spotting scope.

This head is prefect for all the photographic duties and spotting scope uses. I like the retracting adjustment grips and silky smooth movements.

The sole negative is the new head is a tight fit into my current padded carrying case, an issue easily rectified with a new case, or careful adjustment of the head. to make it fit.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I came from using a twice as big as three times as heavy Calumet three way head intended for medium format use. I was quite worried that this head would not offer the same stability or precision as that monster. I have been pleasantly surprised, as this unit is just as stable and so much smaller than my old behemoth. I'm using a gripped Sony A7RIII and large GM lenses without issue.

[Yes] I'm shooting Crescent Moon shots with 150-600 Tamaron. Gives good control when focusing at 10 to one.

[Yes] Great head, does everything I need except you can't tilt the head 90 degrees if you have the handles pushed in, you will need to extend the handle in order for it to go 90 degrees. Minor gripe but its kinda annoying as I generally leave them pushed in. Movement is as smooth as you'd expect and I love the tension adjustment so your camera doesn't want to immediately want to flop down as you loosen the tilt adjustment (something that i hated about my previous head)
