The black NuQ82-AN 600W 2-Way 8" Full-Range Powered Loudspeaker from Turbosound is ideally suited for a wide range of portable and fixed-installation speech-and-music sound-reinforcement applications. Designed to work individually without a controller, the NuQ82-AN Loudspeaker provides optimal performance for FOH, sidefill, and delay-line loudspeakers, and is an ideal choice for wedge monitoring applications. It also offers the flexibility to accommodate venue-specific requirements for install applications.

The NuQ82-AN Loudspeaker features an 8" low-frequency driver with a low-mass voice coil for improved transient response and an aluminum dome with 1" neodymium high-frequency compression driver, which is mounted on a rotatable 100 x 60° (horizontal x vertical) dispersion-converging elliptical waveguide. Output power for the NuQ82-AN Loudspeaker is provided by means of an efficient and lightweight KLARK TEKNIK 600W Class-D power amplifier. An easy-to-use KLARK TEKNIK Digital Signal Processor (DSP) provides dynamic EQ for impressive full-range response at low volume levels and transparent limiting for clarity at high-output levels as well as for long-term reliability.

On the rear panel of the amplifier module, the user interface’s LCD display and single rotary encoder provide intuitive access to position compensation, user EQ control, subwoofer integration, and signal-routing features. In addition to the balanced XLR input, an XLR output is provided for daisy-chaining more active loudspeakers or for use with active subwoofers. An onboard USB port provides access for remote control of the NuQ82-AN Loudspeaker via Windows computer, as well as DSP firmware updates.

ULTRANET connectivity is provided by two locking etherCON connectors. Up to 16 independent channels of 24-bit digital audio and control data are transmitted via a single Cat5 cable between compatible digital devices including mixers, input/output stage boxes, powered loudspeakers and personal monitoring systems. Simplified cable routing and ease of setup translate directly into significant time saved during installation.

Finished in a highly durable semi-matte black paint, the trapezoidal cabinet is constructed from 12mm birch plywood, and includes a rugged powder-coated perforated-steel mesh grille. Multiple threaded rigging points are provided for suspension in any orientation. The NuQ82-AN Loudspeaker also features a 35mm socket for standard pole mounting plus integrated handles for convenient transport. Mains-power input is provided via a Neutrik powerCON connector.

Q: 2. Can you change the file name from the front 4.3" touchscreen panel when scanning to a USB drive? Is a filename change easy?

A: Yes, you can easily choose your own filter name from the touchscreen on the Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W Wireless Receipt Scanner. The process is described on page 93 of this user manual: https://bhpho.to/3U6Ncd2.

Q: 3. How to wire these dual horns for my shop stereo system

A: The Atlas Sound APT-34AT Omni-Purpose 30W Bidirectional Twin-Horn Loudspeaker is intended for use with a 25V, 70V, or 100V amplifier in a constant voltage system, not with a standard amplifier or stereo system. The speakers are designed for paging and announcements rather than for music. You would be better off with something like the Yamaha NS-AW294 Outdoor Speakers - Pair (B&H # YANSAW294BL) or Polk Audio Atrium4 All-Weather Indoor/Outdoor Speakers - Pair (B&H # POAM4085BLK) which will connect directly to your stereo receiver using standard speaker wire. Q: 4. Can you change the filename from the 4.3" touchscreen when saving directly to a USB drive and is that easy to do (1 menu dive)?

A: The Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W Wireless Receipt Scanner (B&H # EPRR600W) will not have an option to change the file name from the scanner.

A: Yes, but you must use the Remote, Interfit S1 Manual Remote for all Cameras B&H # INTR1B MFR # INTR1B

Q: 9. Is the modeling lamp proportional to the flash power? I mean is it possible to adjust it and make it proportional?

A: The Siros L LED modeling lamp is a fixed power output and cannot be dimmed to be proportional with its flash power setting.

Q: 10. Do I need to purchase the transmitter module (for Canon) separately from this package? -Clarke

A: Transmitters are not included with the kits. It is recommended that you purchase one of these remotes separately to access the full TTL and HSS features. However, the lights can be triggered with 3rd-party transmitters and receivers via the 3.5mm sync port.

[Active] This speaker rocks. It's really loud, made from very great materials and super easy to setup and use. Because it's plastic, it's not heavy, so great for gigging or DJ events. Once again, Mackie is awesome. For the price, $399 on sale, it's amazing. Two of these would make an awesome DJ setup as well.

[2 x RJ45] I've had a pair of these for a few years now. They work very well as stage monitors. I use mine primarily as a monitor for my keyboards when performing. There is a multi-position switch that changes the EQ depending on the listening mode, but I usually leave it in Stage Monitor mode.

Inputs are combination XLR / 1/4 TRS jacks. However, the daisy-chain connection to another monitor is XLR only - not 1/4 TRS, which is a pain in the neck sometimes. And the volume setting on the first monitor determines the maximum volume setting on any daisy-chained monitors.

Overall, a very rugged monitor that has been dropped a few times and taken its share of abuse, but has never failed me. And it's a lot smaller and lighter than comparable stage wedges. To make sure I never lose the power cord, I have caribiners on the handle and the AC cord that I just snap together when transporting it.

B&H occasionally has sales on these and also bundles (stand and XLR cable) - jump on those sales when available!

[122 dB peak] This is my first PA subwoofer so I don't have much to realistically compare it to but I'm happy for my purposes!
My use:
With 2 mackie thump go's through a mixer for karaoke, backyard parties, garage band, general small portable DJ setup.
I bought used and saved some money on an already good price.
At first I was disappointed with the power and sound when I hooked it to my mixer via the headphone out for volume control.
It turns out my cable was bad or sent a weak signal for the sub.
I replaced the Cable (1/4 TRS to split balanced XLR) and now that the signal is strong and clean and the sub actually sounds GOOD and musical - so a clean strong signal will do wonders with this subwoofer and I think a little break-in period helped it loosen up and improve SQ. Also properly setting the gain staging will help maximize output.
The smaller weight and size of the sub are a big factor for me; it's not that hard to move compared to the majority of other 18's.

If you're looking for a monster teeth rattling single sub with power for a live band in a larger venue this might not be the sub for you but it does great for small/medium DJ applications.
I will likely add another one for outdoor events or bigger venues.
Overall after a few weeks of ownership I recommend it if you manage your expectations

[122 dB peak] I purchased a second BR-10 to complete a PA system I use with a Fender guitar/Yamaha modeling amp combo. I get the sound I like and then let it rip. Clean, powerful and impressively responsive across the entire frequency range. Way more than enough for 1500 sq ft of audience (~200 people). Can switch to pure PA use without problems and nobody is going to gripe about this rig. Wish I had this setup when I started doing gigs.
