The white NuQ82-AN-WH 600W 2-Way 8" Full-Range Powered Loudspeaker from Turbosound is ideally suited for a wide range of portable and fixed-installation speech-and-music sound-reinforcement applications. Designed to work individually without a controller, the NuQ82-AN-WH Loudspeaker provides optimal performance for FOH, sidefill, and delay-line loudspeakers, and is an ideal choice for wedge monitoring applications. It also offers the flexibility to accommodate venue-specific requirements for install applications.

The NuQ82-AN-WH Loudspeaker features an 8" low-frequency driver with a low-mass voice coil for improved transient response and an aluminum dome with 1" neodymium high-frequency compression driver, which is mounted on a rotatable 100 x 60° (horizontal x vertical) dispersion-converging elliptical waveguide. Output power for the NuQ82-AN-WH Loudspeaker is provided by means of an efficient and lightweight KLARK TEKNIK 600W Class-D power amplifier. An easy-to-use KLARK TEKNIK Digital Signal Processor (DSP) provides dynamic EQ for impressive full-range response at low volume levels and transparent limiting for clarity at high-output levels as well as for long-term reliability.

On the rear panel of the amplifier module, the user interface’s LCD display and single rotary encoder provide intuitive access to position compensation, user EQ control, subwoofer integration, and signal-routing features. In addition to the balanced XLR input, an XLR output is provided for daisy-chaining more active loudspeakers or for use with active subwoofers. An onboard USB port provides access for remote control of the NuQ82-AN-WH Loudspeaker via Windows computer, as well as DSP firmware updates.

ULTRANET connectivity is provided by two locking etherCON connectors. Up to 16 independent channels of 24-bit digital audio and control data are transmitted via a single Cat5 cable between compatible digital devices including mixers, input/output stage boxes, powered loudspeakers and personal monitoring systems. Simplified cable routing and ease of setup translate directly into significant time saved during installation.

Finished in a highly durable semi-matte white paint, the trapezoidal cabinet is constructed from 12mm birch plywood, and includes a rugged powder-coated perforated-steel mesh grille. Multiple threaded rigging points are provided for suspension in any orientation. The NuQ82-AN-WH Loudspeaker also features a 35mm socket for standard pole mounting plus integrated handles for convenient transport. Mains-power input is provided via a Neutrik powerCON connector.

A: The Celestron PowerTank Lithium should be kept at around 40-50% State of Charge to be ready for immediate use – this is approximately 3.8 Volts per cell – while tests have suggested that if this battery type is kept fully charged the recoverable capacity is reduced over time. The voltage of each cell should not fall below 2 volts as at this point the anode starts dissolving causing copper shunts to form which will cause an irreversible loss of capacity. Similarly lithium based batteries can be damaged by over charging which causes the cathode to decompose.

A: This battery pack should work with any Celestron that has a 12V input socket. (I can't speak for all of them, but the plug end of its cable fit my CPC perfectly.) The only other Celestron power pack I know of is the Power Tank, a hand carry item that usually sits on the ground under the tripod. This unit is much lighter weight and straps to a tripod leg, so it seems to be a lot more convenient.

Q: 8. Can you change the filename from the 4.3" touchscreen when saving directly to a USB drive and is that easy to do (1 menu dive)?

A: The Epson RapidReceipt RR-600W Wireless Receipt Scanner (B&H # EPRR600W) will not have an option to change the file name from the scanner.

[2 x RJ45] I've had a pair of these for a few years now. They work very well as stage monitors. I use mine primarily as a monitor for my keyboards when performing. There is a multi-position switch that changes the EQ depending on the listening mode, but I usually leave it in Stage Monitor mode. Inputs are combination XLR / 1/4 TRS jacks. However, the daisy-chain connection to another monitor is XLR only - not 1/4 TRS, which is a pain in the neck sometimes. And the volume setting on the first monitor determines the maximum volume setting on any daisy-chained monitors. Overall, a very rugged monitor that has been dropped a few times and taken its share of abuse, but has never failed me. And it's a lot smaller and lighter than comparable stage wedges. To make sure I never lose the power cord, I have caribiners on the handle and the AC cord that I just snap together when transporting it. B&H occasionally has sales on these and also bundles (stand and XLR cable) - jump on those sales when available! 5

[2 x RJ45] I’m very happy to own these speakers. I’ve done several events with just the Bluetooth capabilities. Not only can you stream your music but also control all your audio sounds levels with app and to top it off, you can pair 2 speakers to run in stereo via Bluetooth. I have controlled my music, mics and speakers wirelessly from my iPhone/iPad. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments on sound and it never fails that someone will come up to me to ask what brand speakers I’m using. Turbosound is not a well known commercial brand but don’t let that fool you. These provide excellent bass and mid/high sound. My only con is the weight but the sound will make you forget about that. For all the features ,well built and durability , they are well worth the price , seriously. 5

[2 x RJ45] This speaker rocks. It's really loud, made from very great materials and super easy to setup and use. Because it's plastic, it's not heavy, so great for gigging or DJ events. Once again, Mackie is awesome. For the price, $399 on sale, it's amazing. Two of these would make an awesome DJ setup as well. 5

[Class-D] Purchased a pair of these with all custom bags. Replacing my 'standard' sound system of Mackie SWA 18"+ SRM 12" 2-way system. Absolutely loved using them and happy i upgraded. Operation: I clocked myself at 46 seconds to disassemble the entire column and put all components in the cases/bags including sub. I can carry the sub though its not very mobile friendly without dolly. Erects in similar amount of time and much easier on the eyes. Audio: Compared them with Bose, EV, RCF, and Fender. Out of the group the RCF was the best sounding overall. The Turbosounds sounded better than the rest but the dual 12" sub did outperform the single sub on the RCF 12, at least for me. Aesthetically it was nicer than the RCF but the EV evolve looked the nicest and was the easiest to transport. Would highly recommend. Happy to have joined the Turbosound family. 5

[122 dB peak] We are a church and needed speakers for outdoor events, parties, dancing, picnics for about 100 to 200 folks. I called a friend who happens to install home sound and video systems in high end homes, big dollar systems and asked him what I should get. He turned me on to QSC and narrowed it down to the CP12 series for our application. There were other speakers that did more stuff but my friend the audio expert said Get the tool that does the main job very well and not all the gingerbread, it will last a lot longer. I did and wow the speakers sound great!!! 5

[0 to 300 ms] From a small band perspective, these are loud and clear. I wish there was a bluetooth off switch though. The only way to mute bluetooth seems to be with the app. Once it is connected to a device using the app at least it doesn't seem to be able to connect to another device usuing the app. ie. someone hijacking your speakers. The bluetooth and speaker linking does work well. The audio is very clear, and they are pretty loud. For a sub $500 40lb cabinet made out of plastic it sounds good. Certainly good enough for small gigs. As far as the voicing options, live or monitor sounds best to me using an analog mixer with no other outboard gear. Overall I think this a great buy at this price point. You will want some kind of cover or bag though, they did away this the screen and went with control knobs which is fine, but I feel like they could be a little more vulnerable to me. 5
