The AtlasIED TSD-ML11 Mic/Line Preamp EQ Muteis a high headroom, low noise mic preamp that can be used as a standalone preamp or in conference room systems, board meetings, courtrooms, council chambers, and public forums system that need mute and push to talk microphone functions.

The TSD-ML11 features switchable phantom power for powering

condenser microphones and has four EQ cut filters centered at common

frequencies to eliminate feedback and control voice shaping. The variable

mic preamp helps further eliminate noise for quiet operation as well

as reduces unwanted coloration and changes in tonality and a 12dB @

125Hz high pass filter is available on each mic input to minimize bass

rumble and low frequency feedback in the system and ensure focus

and clarity stays on voice sound spectrum.

An output limiter/compressor

is also included for system protection to avoid clipping and eliminate

distortion. Mic Mute and Mic On control allows microphones in the

system to be push-to-talk enabled or muted for speaker priority. The unit requires a power supply (not included) for operation.

A: Yes it will, the mount bolt spacing is identical among the 4SE/5SE and 6SE/8SE. The tripod should support this wedge just fine. Just be sure to keep its built-in wedge perfectly flat.

Q: 8. I have read the two reviews of this item. It appears they the threading is of a very close tolerance. As far as I'm concerned that is a good attribute. My question concerns the locking mechanism itself; i.e., part A tolerance to part B. If you have already bought this and have had it in service for some while, I'm asking if the joint is solid and without any free play of tolerance. Yes, I have an Atlas MS20C. It would be much nicer to have a quick connect between the shaft and base because as we all know, it is typical to separate the two pieces during transport. Also, I'm know from experience that hasty and often assembly / disassembly of the base from the shaft invites the risk of stripping threads. On paper, this device looks very useful and I would definitely buy it if I only knew that it has a very solid fit between the halves with no wobble at all. Thank you very much.

A: Atlas as you well know makes excellent products. I cannot guarantee the QR-2 will not have some play to it. As the connection is not a thread its ball bearing.

Q: 9. How much weight will this support?

A: Atlas has not specified a weight capacity but they do mention that the AD-14B is designed to accommodate any microphone mounts and it can hold the weight of most standard microphones along with the mount.

[Aluminum] I use this mic to record House Concerts. It is suspended over the artist to capture better sound than my video camera does. It captures the real ambience of the artist in a live performance. I wanted something simple to have at the front of the room to my Zoom H4 in the back of the room (about 22 feet) without distraction. It is vey small and inconspicuous...I had to point it out to one of my friends and he was sitting in the front row! I also wanted something simple to use. I don't do a lot of sound capture, so this was a must! The MX202BC is super simple to use. It took me less than 10 minutes to hang it and plug it in and do a sound check. My sound now sounds professional without a lot of hassle! 5

[Aluminum] Our church wanted to add a mike for the choir and piano, and asked me to do it. I searched the Shure site, found this mike and bought it from B&H. I came up with a contraption to hang it from the celing in the right spot. It works great - does the job prefectly. People at church think I am a genius - not so, I just have to be smart enough to go to Shure and B&H. 5

[0.06% @ 1 kHz] I installed 4 of these mic's over a small stage in a school multi-purpose room. The install was easy with all of the included hardware. Sound quality is exactly what I expected from Shure, crisp & clean with a nice tight pattern to reduce talkback. I have only used them for one live event so far, but was very happy. The pre-amp was clean & quiet, even with levels pushed way up to capture smaller voices. I highly recommend these mic's if you are using them for a choir or other performance group. 5
