It offers accurate color reproduction and can handle some ambient light. The surface can be cleaned with mild soap and water, and is flame-retardant and mildew-resistant. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a portable power pack to go with the D-Lite RX 4? I can't find one anywhere. I'd like to take it outdoors for Senior sessions.

A: No, it uses mains power - for outdoors you would probably need a generator.Alternatively use something like an elinchrom ranger quadra system

Q: 2. Can the EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus be used with a Canon 430EX II Speedlite as a slave?

A: You can but you need the EL-Skyport receiver. https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1247560-REG/elinchrom_el19369_el_skyport_receiver_plus.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1247560-REG/elinchrom_el19369_el_skyport_receiver_plus.html/aNot 100% sure the setup makes sense though as the Elinchrom flashes are MUCH more powerful...

Q: 3. What is the color temperature for this unit? Is it the same as the dlite 200ws? And does the temperature change with increase in flash power?

A: According to Elinchrom, all of the current D-Lite RX monolights have a flash tube balance for 5500 Kelvin when the units are set to full power. Unfortunately, there is no information regarding what the color temperature would be at lower power settings.

Q: 4. does the guaranty covers/applies to mexico?

A: As long as the purchase was from B&H, it applies. However any warranty work will have to be performed by MAC Group in New York.

Q: 5. Does the modeling light stay on during flash? I'm hoping to use this at low power with a large aperture...

A: You can set the modeling lamp on the D-Lite RX4 to stay on while the flash fires.

Q: 6. I love using this lighting set. Question: When I use three elinchrom flashheads, they sound not together really quickly. Is there anything I need to check? Is there a manual download for the trigger plus? I found a two page manual on the elinchrom website.

A: What sound? Fan, beep? If they are at different power levels they may sound different.

Q: 7. could I trigger D-Lite with flash slave trigger or as slave ? and what the x-sync speed when as slave ? thanks

A: You can set up the strobes as slaves individually or together with a sinc cable, remote or on camera flash. I believe the x sinc should be based on the flash sinc on your camera. The elinchrom web site has manuals on the d-lite 4 strobe. The optional hs trigger works great . You can control each and all strobes and use high shutter speeds.

Q: 8. Is the motor compatible with the SmallRig Wireless Follow Focus Contro? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1730054-REG/small

A: Yes, the SmallRig Wireless Follow Focus Lite Kit included focus motor is compatible with the SmallRig Wireless Follow Focus Controller Kit (BH #SM3917).

Q: 9. Can power output be controlled from the iPhone app?

A: Yes, but you need the portable wireless transmitter EL-Skyport WiFi, then select the it on your iPhone's wifi settings

Q: 10. If I'm using Phottix Indra, do I still need to get an external receiver?

A: The Indra has a receiver built in.

[Front] This screen was installed in a small conference room with an NEC projector. The screen can be wall or ceiling mounted, and this flexibility came in handy when we had to switch to a ceiling mount at the last moment. The screen presents very well, and is unobtrusive when retracted. The tensioning system works nicely, and we didn't have to change any of the factory settings for the drop. I would have liked to see some additional mounting holes for attaching the screen to studs in the wall, so the installer has more options for wall mounting.

[149 x 30 x 25"] I installed in my living room in between ceiling joists. It works great. I use it with a Panasonic HD projector. It impresses everyone who walks in the room. Has a clean appearance when retracted. Note: it didn't come with a 12v trigger as both the B&H customer service rep and myself thought it did. We both misunderstood the description (it's optional.) The part was available at Da-Lite for $80 and came with no instructions. I got it to work after a few emails and chats with da-lite. Also, I ended up placing some holes in the top of the case to mount using 8 Lag bolts into the 2nd story floor structure. All the hardware that comes with it assumes you will have access to hang it from the top which requires access via the side while it's in it's final position. I was putting it in a hole the size of the case in my finished ceiling so that method would not work ( I would have had to remove and re-install a lot of drywall). I knew this before I purchased by reading the installation instructions so no worries just a fact and maybe a consideration for future changes to the case or just the directions.

[Yes] We installed this in a rehabbed church space that's now a contemporary art gallery flush mounted it to an exposed beam and it looks and works great. That said, it's only been about a week, so maybe I'll report back later if I have any complaints! I was surprised that, for its length, there are only 2 mounting holes on either end, so I fear that it may sag over time. But again, too soon to tell. Where it does mount in those 2 places, it's on a solid plastic end cap/brace, so it seems like it will hold up well. It weighs about 85 pounds, so we had 3 people to install. We had to go about 17 feet up to the beam, we leveled, marked and pre-drilled & drove lag bolts into the beam and then used two extension ladders on either side to climb and carefully slide the projector up on the ladder's rails. Our 3rd person was on a 10ft ladder in the middle and was there as a spotter for extra support. It was then quite easy to hook it on to the lag bolts once we slid it to the top. All in all, it's an easy install, we opened the box and had the job done in less than 4 hours. Just be sure you have the wiring supplies and the proper mounting hardware and you'll have no problem!

[1.3] After correspondence with B&H on product lines and availability , I selected the cinema contour to marry up with the projector specifications that were needed. It also worked well with the acoustic demands of the in wall speakers hidden behind it . The result was spot on. Excellent price coupled with exceptional performance. B&H got the job done. Pro service for pro contractors.
