The Horseman VCC PRO DB View Camera Converterenables a full range of camera movements to be utilized when photographing with a digital back. As the central component within a modular system, the VCC PRO [DB] is compatible with Hasselblad H, V, and Mamiya 645 digital backs using optional dedicated adapter plates. It also supports the use of a wide array of large format lenses, and is compatible with the Intelligent Shutter System (ISS) for critical exposure control.

Digital back adapter plates can be attached to the camera body from four different directions for seamless switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations by turning a knob, rather than re-orienting the entire camera. Additionally, a ground glass focusing screen can be employed for critical applications when the digital back is removed. The rear standard also incorporates a spindle drive for seamless stitching of multiple frames, with the ability to lock the back in place for greater precision.

The VCC PRO [DB]'s relatively compact, lightweight form factor and ability to accept wide angle lenses makes it ideally suited to use on location, as well as in the studio.

[1/4"] I've had the Pro-Co Sound DB-1 for only a couple of weeks, so I can't speak to its durability except to say that it's built quite sturdily. Time will tell. But so far it's doing exactly what I hoped it would do -- improve my sound dramatically. I play bass in my church. The sound booth and mixing board are a long way from the stage and the unbalanced signal from my instrument cable was degrading by the time it reached its destination. The DB-1 is a passive direct box that converts the unbalanced signal from my bass to a balanced one. The minute I plugged into it my sound became much punchier and crisper. The occasional pops and crackles that had plagued my sound before all but disappeared and were replaced with a much cleaner and more consistent tone. I'd never used a direct box before. Now I'm wondering what took me so long. The DB-1 was recommended to me over other brands by the sound techs from our local association. It is simple to use: Just connect the cables, flip a switch and play. I am currently plugging into the DB-1 and then directly into the house mix. But the DB-1 also includes a parallel signal output that will allow me to continue connecting to the main board via an XLR cable, while connecting a second TS cable to amplifier. I am considering going that route and connecting to a small amp for use as a monitor (I currently have a piano player located between me and the side-fill monitor I've been using). Again, I've only had this box for two weeks. But so far I'm thrilled with the results and can't imagine playing without one. No downside so far. Thanks Pro Co, and thumbs-up for a great product.

[1/4"] I own three of these 810Gs (and a 45G) and have used them for over 20 years in product and architectural work. The design and workmanship is excellent and durability is lifelong plus. Controls are smooth, even after all these years. Only comparable camera would be the Sinar P. But this Omega G is sturdier. When controls are locked, its tight.

[1/4"] As promised, my second test was with very old 135, 150 and 180 Schneider view camera lenses, again on my Sinar P. The results were excellent, especially on minimal depth of field, reverse Scheimpflug applications, but equally good on extended depth of field ( Scheimpflug ) applications.

I'm confident that this X1D / adaptor combination will afford more movement than any non view camera option. Investing in a heavily discounted X1D new body only and using it on ones existing 4x5 system ( or even buying a used 4x5 ) offers one a cheap, medium format 50 MP studio camera with great camera movements and stunning image quality.

[1/4"] I fiddled with tilt shift lenses for some time and was never completely happy with their performance. The Cambo Actus-G (BH# CAAGCBBK) is a much more flexible solution and is only a bit more expensive than some of the tilt-shift lenses. Of course you do need to buy a suitable lens with a large image circle. I'm using this with a Nikon F mount camera and a Mamiya RZ lens adapter. I already had the Mamiya lenses so it was a no brainer. It did take a bit of time to figure out exactly what other items were needed but essentially You'll need 3 other pieces besides the body. The lens plate. I suggest a medium format lens like the Mamiya RB/RZ lenses. BH# CALPMRBRZB, The camera bayonet holder (Cambo AC-78E) BH# CAOBHDSLR and the camera bayonet plate BH# CABKNF. This is a very flexible system and using the bayonet holder (AC-78E) you can get different plates for about $70 so I could add in a mirrorless body just with a new bayonet plate. I don't know if it's by accident or intentionally but the Actus-G molded packaging fits perfectly inside a Pelican 1300 case - BONUS!
This will also focus to infinity so it works fine for architecture as well as tilting or swinging the focal plane for product photography.

[1/4"] This sturdy case met my basic need for a case for my Horseman L45 monorail camera. The internal dividers can be moved to the correct width for one's camera. The case is large but not particularly heavy - my camera itself is very heavy - and seems to be adequately protective. It is not a flight case so I would never check this bag. However, for car-based photography trips and for storage at home, this case is great.
