This 100 x 100mm LEE Filters Little Stopper ND Filter 100x100mm 6-Stopis a solid neutral density filter providing a 6-stop reduction in exposure. This 1.8 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.

This filter is constructed from a high quality optical glass for high definition and clarity. It is compatible with the 100mm Filter System, which is designed for use with most lenses and camera types. This filter measures 3.9 x 3.9" / 100 x 100mm.

Q: 1. I have a 62mm lens, so I need a 62mm wide angle ring to go with this foundation kit? Can you able to send me the link to purchase for this ring? Tks.

A: The 62mm Adapter Ring for the LEE Filters Foundation Kit can be found here: http://bhpho.to/1nTQURz

Q: 2. will this fit a fujinon 23mm f1.4 ? thread is 62mm

A: I do not know. I have Canon gear and used this for shooting the eclipse. I would recommend talking with B@H technical staff.

Q: 3. I have a Canon 17-40 f/4L with a 77mm lens diameter. If I get a 77mm LEE Adapter ring + this LEE Filter Holder I will be good to go? (obviously I will have to get the filters themselves as well).

A: Yes mate. You will be

Q: 4. Hi. My original plan was to use the Lee Big Stopper; with a Cokin z-Pro holder on my Bower 14mm D700 combination. I read on the Big stopper Q&A that the Cokin cannot take 4mm filter. So now I'm opting for this Lee Foundation Kit.The next challenge is a adaptor ring. This is difficult as the Bower has no thread. I have machined my own aluminium adaptor Ring with an outside diameter of 101mm; which slides into the filter holder; securing it. The other end is a slide-fit over the lens body with securing bolts. So; are there any comments on this combination of gear? the 4x4inch filters would work fine on a lens this wide?I just want to make 100% sure before I order.I'm interested in Long Exposure Landscape shots

A: The Lee Big stopper is not 4mm. It is 2mm thick.

Q: 5. Has the basic filter holder been redesigned recently? I have an old version that is all plastic with threaded inserts for the screws. I recently saw a Lee lens hood that had a center ring that was metal that was fused to the plastic. Is the current 2014 holder plastic -metal hybrid or all plastic?

A: This filter holder is made of a heavy duty, high impact plastic with metal screw threads built in.

Q: 6. I have a full frame Nikkor AF-S 17-35mm f2.8D. With 2 - 4x6 filters installed in this foundation along with the Lee 77 mm W/A adaptor, will I get any vignetting issues when shooting at widest angle?

A: Yes, you will have vignetting issues. You can crop it out, but it's a waste of pixels. I am absolutely torn as to whether to buy a 17-35mm or not because of this.

Q: 7. how many filters can I use together with this Foundation Kit

A: The Lee Foundation Kit filter holder will take up to 4 filters.

Q: 8. I have ordered some 4 polyester CC filters, in snap holders. I am wondering if the plastic frames will slide into this holder? I know about the holder that uses a rubber band, but this holder would be good for other lenses + multiple filters.

A: The Lee foundation kit works with 2mm thick filters and you can get other guards that work with 4mm thick filters. If your CC filter holder is not thicker than 4mm you can get those other guides. But they cannot be wider than 4 inches on one side. The 4mm guides are at this link a href= http://bhpho.to/1BHprZI. target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1BHprZI./a

Q: 9. I want to use this with Nikon 24mm f/1.4 lens---is the 77mm wide angle adapter ring or 77mm Lee FK adapter ring which one that i need? Can you able to send me the link to purchase for this ring? Tks.

A: I would suggest using the Lee 77mm Adapter Ring for Wide Angle lenses with the Nikon 24-mm f/1.4. Here is a link for that adapter ring:http://bhpho.to/1jrr44R

Q: 10. tandem?

A: You can use up to 3 stacked filters with the parts that come with the kit.

[Solid ND] While my longer exposures often result in a conversion to B&W, I do start the processing of each image in color to see if I some compositions work in color. The exposure shift is very close to the rated value and the color cast is modest and easy to handle in a raw image. Highly recommend this filter.

[0.34 lb] This is the perfect filter for those occasions when the Big Stopper is stopping too much light. When the ambient light levels are lower (the hours around sunrise and sunset) often times a Big Stopper will require exposure times of 10 minutes or more. Since such a long shutter time is often overkill to create the blurred motion effects that these ND filters excel at, the Little Stopper becomes the perfect alternative tool. Blocking less light to allow for less-long shutter speeds, but still achieving the desired blurred effects. Like Lee's other ND filters, the Little Stopper yields mostly neutral color balance (very consistent from shot to shot). Any color temperature shifts can be easily corrected in post (or in camera while shooting). I've been extremely happy with the entire Lee system of filters.

[Glass] The little stopper filter works great in low light for those long exposers in the morning time or at sunset. Also for cloudy days when you need to cut the light a little for the effect you're looking for. You do get a little blue tint to the image, but it's easily fixed in Lightroom with just a click.
