Dipswitch #8 determines which one is output. - An SDI signal can carry up to 16 channels of audio - but this device can only output 4 for analog and 8 for AES at a time - so dipswitches #5 & 6 determine which group of audio channels is output.In my particular usage for this device - I want analog audio - channels 1-4 from the unit. So I leave all 8 dipswitches in the OFF position.
