With green tritium dots, the front sight features a taller blade and an aiming point ringed in orange photoluminescent paint while the rear sight is outlined in black and features a wider U-shaped notch. This configuration increases visibility and quickens front sight acquisition, even in transitional lighting. What does this mean in a practical sense? Think in terms of how dense are the obstructions. Figure with less dense material such as wallboard and lumber, you can be further, like two house rooms. If the wall is concrete or brick, you should still be good if there is a nearby doorway between the rooms. If still spotty, run cable from the monitor to the room the transmitter is in and hang the receiver out of frame.
