Q: 1. What is Watt-equiv output of this pair of lights? Specs say 3.4W (I assume per lamp). At typ conv ratio of 3.8, that's only 26 W-eq for the pair! That's feeble, even for intended use on videochat. What am I missing?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not publish a watt equivalent rating for these lights. The only measurement they offer is a foot candle rating of 22 at a distance of 18 inches from the subject.

A: According to testing from the manufacturer, Smith-Victor states that the Smith-Victor LadyBug LED Light has a tungsten output equivalent of a 500W tungsten fixture. There is no way to convert wattage into brightness or light output (wattage is a measurement of power, not brightness), and while you cannot compare LED wattage to tungsten wattage, the Smith-Victor LadyBug LED Light should be the rough equivalent of a 500W tungsten light fixture.

A: The MFR says the power switch is also the dimming control. From off to full power in smooth adjustments.

Q: 9. Can these bar doors fit on a Rotolight Pro ?

A: no you will need the RL ANOVA-2-BD

Q: 10. is it working on 240V ????

A: According to Smith-Victor's website, the Smith-Victor LadyBug LED Light is designed for usage on 110-120V AC voltage; it is not designed for usage on 240V AC voltage.

I use video conferencing a lot for work and this gives a nice even lighting for almost any situation. You still can't have a bright light directly behind you but otherwise these lights work very well. 5

I purchased this light for a small auxilliary studio with a LOW ceiling. I expected hot spots in my Ultimatte backdrop with a light so close to the background. I was pleased to find that this light provided very even light for my small space without generating so much heat that my talent is uncomfortable. 5

These are nicely made; sturdy, fit well, and work as intended. If you buy the diffusion case, these cannot be used at the same time. 5

I was able to purchase this light on sale and for the price I paid, I feel like I almost stole it. Overall it is a great light. It is a complete solution w/o the color gels. I should have purchased a 2nd unit, maybe a third one, especially at B&H's DealZone price. Would I have paid the full price??? Maybe. I didn't need the light and it was an impulse purchase but I am happy I did. 5

Let me start with the barn door spring tension design they develop for the LUXLI Timpani 2. It fits the Timpani so elegantly and effectively. To remove is even faster and it doesn't leave marks on the light's body. Very impressed. The construction is all metal and the barn door can be tightened in the future if you use it a lot. The way it came, no adjustment was necessary. The barn doors stay where you leave them. The barn doors do the job for what a barn doors set of this size does. But if you need to block even more light spill, a company named Angler makes a softbox for the Timpani 2 and also make the grid for it sold separately if you are also interested. BH #ANLEDSBG1818. I have both, the softbox and grid and they fit absolutely perfect. Very happy with this barn door. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5
