The Gra-Vue XIO 9080HDEOP SDI to Fiber Transmitter, in a 3RU version, consists of an input/output transmitter card and 3RU interface panel. The interface panel installs the card in a rack vertically in a 3RU setup. The card converts one 3G/HD/SD SDI signal to optical fiber and transmits the signal for up to 12 miles to an XIO 9080HDEOP receiver, sold separately.

The card also features an SDI loop output for monitoring your signal locally on an SDI display. The SDI input and loop output support cable distances up to 230 ft in 3G, 328 ft in HD, and 656 ft in SD using Belden 1694A cables. The input return loss is >15dB for 5MHz to 1.5GHz transmissions, and >10dB for 1.5GHz to 3GHz transmissions. The fiber output is an SC-APC connector compatible with broadcast standards. It supports singlemode and multimode fiber cables. Please note, the card has two additional SDI connectors, but they are not functional; they are just part of the card models that Gra-Vue uses but are not enabled for any performance.

The card supports any input data rate within the range of 270Mbps to 2.97Gbps, and it converts using an efficient photoelectric conversion process. It can be monitored and managed in real-time using an optional Gra-Vue XIO NET Management Module via an Ethernet-connected PC. LED indicators display the signal status and power status. The card is hot swappable with other cards.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Pyro S transmit continuously 24/7 if left on?

A: As long as the Hollyland Pyro S 4K HDMI/SDI Wireless Video Transmission System is connected to power source the kit will continue to transmit.

Q: 2. Are the recievers and transmitters weatherproof ? I mean you rarely need 2000m transmission indoors.

A: This are not weatherproof products.

Q: 3. To how many receivers and apps can the trasmitter transmit simultaneously. This is a question for Hollyland?

A: When the transmitter from the Hollyland Pyro S 4K HDMI/SDI Wireless Video Transmission System is set to broadcast mode, the a single transmitter can output to up to four receivers and two smart devices running the app.

Q: 4. is the Transmitter alone is required to send video signal to phone app without buying the receiver ?

A: You will be able to transmit to up to 500 feet and output wirelessly to 1–4 apps when using just the Accsoon CineView 2 SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmitter.

Q: 5. How does one change the batteries?

A: At back of unit press both sides simultaneously and pull back. Unit housing batteries and bulb will slide out.

Q: 6. Can I use one system transmitting to a single receiver & a second system transmitting another camera to 2 receivers in one room?

A: You can use two different transmitters of the Hollyland Pyro S 4K HDMI/SDI Wireless Video Transmission System in the same room transmitting to different receivers, but performance will depend on your local wireless interference and size of the room. Make sure that your receivers are placed at least 12" apart for the best performance.

Q: 7. i bought Mars 400s but can not get output 59.94 does Pyro S 4k have that out put ?

A: The Hollyland Pyro S 4K HDMI/SDI Wireless Video Transmission System can output 1080p59.94 via HDMI or SDI but is limited to a max 30 fps output in 4K via HDMI and cannot output 4K via SDI.

Q: 8. Will this take HDMI 1080p 29.97 in and still output 1080p 29.97 SDI?

A: Yes, the Hollyland Pyro S 4K HDMI/SDI Wireless Video Transmission System will receive and produce the same signal it receives.

Q: 9. Would you suggest Pyro S over Hollyland Mars series, and if yes, why?

A: Just purchased Pyro S from B&H and chose it over Mars for the following reasons: less latency, longer distance coverage, auto frequency hopping for best signal and up to 4 receivers. I used it for an audience cutaway shot at a livestreaming conference and it worked flawlessly with a Blackmagic switcher.

Q: 10. Does the receiver comes with an AC adapter?Does the Transmitter power cable is D-Tap to lemo?

A: According to Cine Gears the included Lemo Cables do have a D-Tap on the other end. However this unit does not include a DC Power Supply.

[75 Ω] Just note that this are single channels per box. So you essentially used the SDI output as an additional out which is nice and saves us a DA.

Took a chance on an unknown player and happy to say they worked. These are the same guys that own lilliput (shared a booth at NAB at least)

[75 Ω] Debating between different kinds of transmission Systems to go with within Hollyland and then also now the DJI transmission I decided to go with the Pyro S and couldn't be happier. Works exactly how its supposed to and the distance on these things ..Amazing! Simple to operate and the feature of also connecting to your computer program like Zoom makes it more useful than you would probably realize

[-5 dB] Don't let anyone tell you you MUST go with teredek. Unless you have an AC needing to pull a sports or dancing scene, these will work for darn near everything else.

The mobile app ironically has the least amount of latency followed by a full SDI pipeline. If latency is of no concern, HDMI can be used.

Also, I just learned today that the receiver can output SDI and HDMI simultaneously to send to two different monitors at once! Now director can have a monitor, and I can send another feed to the client monitor with no issue.

I got these in addition to a pair of the Monitor transceivers for a full wireless video kit. This is in addition to my Teredek if latency is of any concern.

If you're just starting out, this should be your first wireless kit. Skip the cheaper HDMI version and go straight to this as it's not an if but a when you run into SDI equipment, you'll be ready to go.

[-5 dB] We are using this system at our church and it is working well for us. The only gripe I have is that no power supply is included for the receiver, so we had to spend another $30 for a supply.

[75 Ω] So I bought the new DJI transmission SDR and it had terrible fan noise. This I use side by side my teradek 4k LT with the arri amira- is it as good in latency? No. Does it take a little longer to connect? Yes. But it’s a lot cheaper and it works. It’s reliable. I’ve done 2 shoots with it - no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend this unit. It’s built well and seems that it will last for a while. This is a great product.
