The Gra-Vue XIO 9900MVS-OUT HD/SD-SDI Output Card 1RUfrom Gra-Vue XIO 9900MVS-OUT HD/SD-SDI Output Card 1RUis a modular board that installs inside the 1RU version of the XIO rackmount frame. The card combines video from up to four SD-, HD-, or 3G-SDI sources and outputs them on a single HDMI connection at up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) resolution. Along with presets, custom multi-view layouts are possible, and various used-defined graphical overlays can be applied. When two or more cards are used in a single frame each HDMI output will be aware of all of the SDI inputs in the entire system, making it possible to add routing functionality to your multiview application.

The card features an Ethernet port and built-in Web server so that it can be configured an operated remotely across a local network or even over the Internet. It is suitable for a wide range of A/V, digital signage, video production, and broadcast applications.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much latency is added to the signal when using the loop output? Thanks!

A: loop out should be 0. if it re-clocks it might be 1 frame

Q: 2. What cables/connectors does this monitor ship with?

A: This monitor will come with a mini hdmi to full size hdmi cable, as well as a tilt arm.

Q: 3. What is AW-HEA10KPJ used for?

A: It's a Professional HD video camera. Uses might include churches or auditoriums where you would not want to use camera on tripod taking up floor space. It is remote controlled.

Q: 4. Is it possible to use the loop out and multi view at the same time? My setup is that I will have 2 SDI inputs from my PTZOptics cams, loop those out to my BMD Mini Recorders, but I want to be able to monitor both of those feeds on the same screen. I'm also wondering what the output resolution of this device is? Is it dependent on the inputs? Right now I'm having an issue where my PTZOptics cams have to be set to 1080p30 as that's the max my BMD Mini Recorders will support. The cams can output HDMI and SDI simultaneously, so I thought I'd just plug the HDMI feed into one of my monitors, but my monitors apparently don't support 1080p30, they throw an error asking for 60Hz. Any feedback / suggestions is appreciated.

A: Hi Taylor, This is Jules from Product Support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. You can configure a DMON-4S to receive SDI on inputs 1 & 3 then use the ports for inputs 2 & 4 as loop outputs of inputs 1 & 3 respectively. Inputs 1 & 3 are still available to use in the multi-viewer, although obviously you then only have two inputs available for up to four windows, depending on how many windows you wish to show on screen. The four HDMI outputs can be individually controlled so each output can be configured to either be the output of the multi-viewer or a loop output of any of the SDI inputs. If you need a hand configuring it when it arrives please feel free to contact us at support@symbiosis.com. I hope this helps. Kind regards Jules

Q: 5. Has anyone used this camera connected to a Tricaster Mini? Can the Pan Tilt and Zoom be controlled by the IP connector? Thank you!

A: Yes, you can do so with an Tricaster Mini. Access up to 4 live Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) robotic cameras via standard serial and network protocols, with native preset system and user interface control over camera orientation, zoom, focus and iris.

Q: 6. I need the software AW-SFU01G for the camera, where can i find it ?

A: Panasonic website, its all there

Q: 7. Can I use both HD-SDI and HDMI Outputs simultaneously?

A: Yes - both outputs will be identical.

Q: 8. Could I use this product for a video wall of three monitors? I would like to be able to display a 1x3 video on these monitors at 1080P resolution for each monitor.

A: Dear Kelly, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. The MD-Quad has four 3G-SDI inputs, one 3G-SDI output and one HDMI output. Both outputs carry the same picture at the same format. You wouldn't be able to drive three monitors with different tiles of your source to produce a video wall. The MD-Quad effectively works the other way round to take up to four inputs and put them onto one monitor. I hope this helps but if you have any questions please feel free to contact us on support@symbiosis.com. Kind Regards Jules

Q: 9. Does it comes with battery?

A: A Sony NP-F style battery is not included in the box with this product. Here is a link to a great option to purchase along with it.. https://bhpho.to/3dqPWeY

Q: 10. Does this card SIMULTANEOUSLY input and output via SDI?

A: All AJA Kona devices, including this one, can input and output simultaneously via SDI.

The HE40SW was our choice over the HDMI version for a number of reasons. firstly, We use CAT6 (POE) and an SDI cable and that's it. This means I don't need to run separate power. 2 Cables and the cameras are up and running. SDI also gives us much longer cable runs than HDMI and using the BlackMagic Television Studio 4k means we have no converters.

If you are doing multi cam broadcast or complex routing this is a great device. I have it routed as the first stop for my inputs it displays the incoming and then reclocks the signal and loops it out to the switcher and I do the same with the outputs as well. The audio waveform display has saved me in troubleshooting many times.
This is a great product and functions perfectly.
The little screens don't look amazing color wise but thats not what they are for this is a confidence monitor / reclocker.

This is the second AW-HE40 that our church has bought. We purchased the first one over 2 years ago. The camera works very well. The zoom and low-light performance is great.

We use it with a network connection that provides POE. There is about a .25 second delay in the video over the network. I'm not sure if the delay is the same when using a HDMI connection.

The interface API to control the device is pretty simple. I wrote an application to remotely control the camera using a X-box controller.
