A: I have the Novoflex adapter shown in your question and I use it with several Voigtlander VM mount lenses. It is well made and does the job. However, it is not a close-up or close focus adapter. In the description and in the Q&A for the Voigtlander VM 40mm f 2.8 Heiar lens it clearly states that what you will need to be able to focus that lens is the Voightlander VM to E-Mount Close-Up Adapter . I also have that same adapter and it is very well made and works well with my Voigtlander lenses. I do not own the 40mm f 2.8 but if I were to purchase it I would follow the indications and get the Voigtlander Close-Up Adapter.

A: Thomas,I was using it to connect an old R Leica 35mm f2.8 lens to a Sony A7r, so not as wide a diameter lens as you would like to use. So I am not sure if your set up would work when fully open or not. Certainly works fine at my lens' aperture range though. Good luck with this, Robert

A: I installed two on my A6500 and neither of them worked. I found out that you cannot use a hard glass on the Sony A6500 due to the black bezel area is not on the same plane as the viewable LCD area and there is a chance you may have an uneven LCD but Sony does not see this as a problem. So you may need the more flexible plastic film shield. I haven't tried one yet.
