Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with a d5300?

A: Yes, if you read any website on this lens you will find your answer

Q: 2. Does this lens work with Nikon D850? Also what is the difference between this lens and the one without G2 (Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DI VC USD)?

A: The previous answer my Milton Y. is spot on. In addition, it has a dynamic lock capability to lock in the zoom at any level - simply pull the zoom ring back a small amount. I have shot with both versions of this lens and the G2 was a great improvement.

Q: 3. I am stuck between getting the Tamron sp 150-600 are the Sagma 150-600 . Pease Let me know why this lens and not the segma . if you have looked at them both ?

A: After reading many reviews, I decided I wanted a 150-600 lens for the additional reach over my 100-400 (trip to Yosemite coming in June). On a trip to New York I went over to B&H to check out the options. I eliminated the older Tamron before walking in the store. I tried the new Tamron and both Sigmas on my 5DMkIII. I liked the Tamron more than the older Sigma and considered the Tamron and new Sigma to be about equivalent in photo quality (at least as well as I could judge in the store). The factors that led to my Tamron purchase then became: lower price, lighter weight, and the focal length lock on the Tamron. After using the Tamron I have come to really appreciate the foot. The large foot is a great feature and very tripod friendly. Very happy with my purchase. Did I mention the foot is really nice to have!!

Q: 4. will this lens fit my Nikon z6 or will I need the tap in console for it to work?

A: Hi--you would need the latest firmware update for that lens in order for it to function correctly with the Nikon FTZ adapter on the Nikon Z7 camera.

Q: 5. Will this Tamron 150-600mm lens work with my Canon EOS M50 Merriorless Camera? Also since it's so heavy any recommendations on a tripod? Thanks in advance!

A: Yes with Canon EF-M Lens Adapter Kit for Canon EF / EF-S Lenses , for a tripod I would suggest Manfrotto MT055XPRO3 Aluminum Tripod with MHXPRO-3W 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head Kit BH #MAMT055XP3K6 (B&H Kit)

Q: 6. Is this lens compatible with eos6d mark 11

A: Yes.

Q: 7. Will this lens work with the Nikon Df?

A: Yes, it works. But don't expect it be better than Nikon 200-500 mm. Image quality is very good. But it is slow for focusing, and frequently lost tracking.

Q: 8. Will this lens autofocus using the FTZ adapter on the Z7?

A: Yes, the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 for Nikon F, B&H # TA1506005G2N mounted to the Nikon FTZ Mount Adapter would be compatible and would autofocus on the Nikon Z7 Mirrorless Digital Camera.

Q: 9. Can it be used for Nikon D750?

A: Yes

Q: 10. is it compatible with Nikon d5100

A: Yes, the Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 for Nikon F is fully compatible for use with the Nikon D5100 DSLR camera.

[0.28 lb] I use this on my lens primarily to keep it from getting scratched. It works and looks great. The only improvement I would suggest is that a mark or sticker be used to label each piece so that it is easier to follow the assembly instructions. Other than that, I am really happy with this product.

[Neoprene rubber] This cover was a piece of cake to put together, lay everything out and line up the sections, they all fit perfectly, great protection against scratches and helps to stop the glare off the barrel when shooting wildlife.

[0.28 lb] I find lens covers useful because they protect lenses from scratches and scrapes, plus they substitute a soft, slightly compressible surface for the hard metal or plastic that covers lenses. They also purport to provide camouflage for lenses because they can have camo-type patterns. I actually don't think animals are fooled by the camouflage, so for me a plain black lens cover is just as appealing as a woodland type.' Lenscoast covers are expensive, no doubt. If a person is handy and resourceful he or she can buy the materials and create covers on a diy basis. But I am not all that handy, so I am willing to pay the price for Lenscoat products for some of my lenses, i.e., the larger ones. The only competing products, made in the UK, are less expensive but the maker made the error of using slippery, smooth, two-sided fabric , instead of Lenscoat's practice of using material that is smooth on the outside but a bit grippy on the inside. The grippy side of Lenscoat's material prevents the cover from sliding around. It's a better design. The only issues with Lenscoat lens covers is that the cover pieces can obscure zoom millimeter scales, plus there is a need for a small cutout for a lens lock. To me, these matters are trivial when compared to the protection the covers provide. Until another company comes along and provides real competition, Lenscoat will remain the only real game in town when it comes to lens covers. Their products are very good.

[0.28 lb] I had this week for a week now, It is solid and easy to use, focus stops at times but other then that it is fast and the image quality is sharp and clear on the center and edges. some claimed it's sofor on the longer end of 600mm I did not experianced that with my copy. I have to thank the sales team at B&H who helped me make the right choice as I was debating between the Tamron 150-600 and Cigma's newer version of 150-600. I am very happy with my desision I took it to the nearby nature reserve almost every day and was able to get some amazing shots at the local lake of wildlife and birds. I was catching Osprey pulling fish out of the water!! sure it takes skills mastering focusing with the lens wide open to 600 mm but for me it worked well on my Nikon D-7200 Crop senor Body that has A faster processor and auto focus that helps. Regarding Using this lens in low light conditions: please note that this lens will not perform as well or as sharp on higher ISO speeds at poor lighting like nighttime or cloudy days, as it will in a bright sunny days where you can set your shutter speed as high as 1600 for moving subjects and keep it under 400 ISO for crisp clear shots. Regarding the weight: I upgraded from much lighter 55-300 lens that weight less then half from the Tamron.. I had no problems carrying it on a strap (when tripod collar off)or taking my light tripod aling and carring my camera and lens with the collar handle (which is way bigger then the Cigma's, one of my concerns) holding it it's no problems, sure after two hours I can feel my body but at times I set it on a tripod as well. Overall a $ dollar lens gets you into the big game where no amatures or intusiastic photographers did, due to the prices of those lenses ($ Nikkor 600 mm at B&H...) You will love the reach on the Tamron a begginer to semi-pro wildlife lens, highly recommended
