Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What does open box mean?

A: Open box means the binoculars were once used in a demonstration. They still come with the lifetime warranty from Zeiss but you will most likely notice the box has been opened once before.

Q: 2. Will this work on a 17mm 1.8?

A: No, but it will work with the older 17mm, the f/2.8. There's a short, wordless YouTube video that shows it working correctly on that lens.

Q: 3. How do you know when the tripod base is level if used, for example, with a Manfrotto 303SPH QTVR Spherical Panoramic Head (which doesn't have it's own level)? Would you put a bubble level from a hardware store on the horizontal rail of the panoramic head? A two way bubble that fits on the hot shoe (e.g., by Novoflex) would help some, however, the camera could be level in one spot but not when rotated, if the base isn't level--which is the point of trying to level the tripod, right?

A: You will need a level. I am using this with a Nodal Ninja Ultimate M1-L w/RD16-II (F8102).It has a level on each rail. The EZ-Leveler-II makes it very quick and easy to level the pano head. When I first bought the pano head I didn't buy the level. I would have to shorten a tripod leg. This is time consuming and a PIA. The EZ-Leveler-II makes it a snap to quickly level the pano head. Well built and easy to use. I would buy again.

Q: 4. does this cap work if screwed onto the thread of a filter?seems a shame if you can't use the automatic protection cap along with a protective uv filter or similar...

A: No, the Olympus LC-37C will not work if placed on the thread of a filter, it will only work when mounted directly on the lens.

Q: 5. Does this diffuse enough direct sunlight to cover a single interview subject? Or is 48x48 better?

A: We would highly suggest a 48x48 to accommodate you subject matter needs. A 24x36 would not give enough space coverage as needed.

Q: 6. Does this have a tripod mount attachment?

A: It will require a "cradle" type of mounting adapter. Example: Leica Binocular Tripod Adapter BH #LETABN • MFR #42220

Q: 7. Does this automatic lens cap work when also using the Olympus LH-40 Lens Hood for Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm Lens?

A: NO this only works on the 14-42EZ

Q: 8. Is the fabric very stretched? my Avenger Flag feels a bit loose

A: Yes, very stretched.

Q: 9. It says 1/4 stop silk but in the specs it says two stops of light. Which is it?

A: 1/4 Silk provides 0.7 Stop Loss.

Q: 10. Will it work for the 14-42 IIR lens or only the 14-42 Ez lens? There was a question about this but the answers were not consistent.

A: I'm sorry, but I'm only familiar with the 14-42 Ez lens. But, I really love it. You can't add any filters though.

[0.8" (2.0 cm)] Due to the relatively low cost, I was a little concerned that these would not satisfy our requirements for the space but man do these deliver. We have 4 of these running on one Sonos Amp in a large living room paired with a Sonos Sub. The speakers are mounted approx. 11ft off the ground on a sloped ceiling. VERY impressed with how they perform!

[6.045 lb] Installed 4 pairs of this in an auditorium of 60ftx40ft. Easy to install, sound quality is great. The wattage tap settings on the front make it easily accessible and simplify refining volume levels of the system especially when mounted on ceiling Also, the System Design Software on jblpro website helped a lot in validating speaker placement.

[6.045 lb] The speakers were delivered promptly. The installation instructions were clear, and the installation was easy except for having to climb a ladder to install them in my ceiling. We use the speakers to play streaming broadcasts and CDs, and the sound has been great.

[0.8" (2.0 cm)] Very good quality, easy installation, just cut a hole in the drywall/sheet rock with the included template, connect the wires, push the speaker into the cut out, the three holding arms will spring into place and you are done. Very good back ground sound for a small speaker.

[6.045 lb] How we use this product: We purchased this product to use in a classroom (25'by 30' with 8 ft ceiling). We have a computer connected to this projector and wanted to pass sound through the projector to this speaker. Things that are great: Easy installation - Sounds Great - Sound dispersion of 120 degrees helps hearing it very well all over classroom - Looks very nice attached to ceiling - Sound can also be controlled by projector remote control and/or computer volume control - Volume control on speaker helps balance - Simple directions - Great price! One thing that we have learned is that we can connect several of these speakers together. I also asked the company about connecting a second speaker to this one - they indicated that it is possible to daisy chain up to 6 of these together. (Ask company support for more details.) To complete the install - you will need Bogen Communications PRS2403 24V DC, 300 mA Power Supply and either speaker wire (18 gauge is recommended) and a 3.5mm connector (solder or screw type) or one can purchase a cable with bare wire on one end and 3.5mm connector on the other end. This is used between the speaker and projector audio output. It is a great speaker and it is working great in our school classroom. I would highly recommend this product.

[8 Ω] I used these speakers with JBL 19cs subwoofers for a weight room facility sound system. The total system consisted of 6 - 26c speakers and 4 - 19cs subwoofers. Wiring is made easy with the removable terminal blocks and passthrough wiring. Basically each speaker connects to each other in a line. This installation method reduces cost for speaker wire and labor involved with running extra wire. The terminal blocks have 4 wire holes. For the first speaker in the line will use holes 2 & 3 for the line connecting to the amplifier. Then a wire is ran from speaker 1 to speaker 2. Holes 1 & 4 from speaker 1 connects to holes 2 & 3 on speaker 2. This continues for the entire line. Be sure to properly power these speakers. Both the 19cs and 26c need 140 watts of power. In our installation we used 2 amplifiers splitting the system into left and right sides of the room. Since each amp had 2 outputs of 500 watts for each channel. This provided some headroom for the speakers. On both amps output 1 was was the high and output 2 was the low. Output 1 had 3 26c speakers and output 2 had 2 19cs subwoofers. These amplifiers had a built in crossover feature that splits the signal into high and low frequences which is essential for installing a system like this. A xlr splitter was used to convert the output from the mixer (1 xlr) to inputs for both amps (2 xlr). A cutout template is provided for cutting ceiling tiles. Once tiles are put back in the ceiling the installation can be done without access into the ceiling. The speaker is designed to push up through the cutout in the ceiling tile and clamps down to the C bracket (included). Make sure to have someone assist with installing, these can be insalled with one person but can be difficult for one person to lift, attach wires, put into place, and screw down holders. Overall these speakers work as expected and would buy again. They install nicely and end product looks professional. Nothing less to be expected from JBL.
