[0.35 lb] I won a pair of HMD-26's from a Goodwill online auction for cheap. I got them, plugged them in, and nothing but a buzz. I took the cable off my HMD-27's I already had and it worked. Came to B&H, ordered the cable, got it in a couple of days, and had a like-new paid of 26's for under $300.

[6.6' / 2.0 m] This is the mic of choice for many public radio reporters because of its durability and fidelity. I use it with a Marantz 661, and it's great for recording in the field or indoors in a makeshift studio. As I'm not reporting anymore, I use it mainly to record oral histories in my family. It's very durable fairly heavy, and the sound quality is great for voices. Because of the mic's cardioid pattern, it's not so great for recording specific, faraway sounds such as bird calls. I tried and didn't get anything worth keeping.

[0.35 lb] Besides these cables feeling extremely durable, the feature that stands out the most is the weather and moisture resistants. As someone who travels often and shoots short forms doc interviews having these types of cables is a must and having this extra layer of protection adds piece of mind in humid environments.

I have the 6.6 foot cables as this size is best for traveling with a K-tek Avalon KE-899cc boom pool which has the XLR internal coiled cable.
