The white Da-Lite 24865 Tensioned Electrol Ceiling-Recessed Screenfrom Da-Lite 24865 Tensioned Electrol Ceiling-Recessed Screenis designed to be concealed neatly in a ceiling when not in use, which makes it ideal for large corporate conference rooms. The screen can be installed in two stages; the screen case can be installed during construction, and the screen assembly can be attached during the finishing stage. Once the screen is installed, the screen's trim conceals the rough opening in the ceiling, eliminating the need to complete additional trim work. Sliding installation brackets allow you to attach the screen housing to the structure above the drop ceiling. Closure doors keep the screen out of sight when it isn't being used.

The HD Progressive 1.3 surface has a gain of 1.3, 150° viewing angle, and is ideal for applications where projector brightness and screen size require an increase in gain. The pure white HD Progressive surface offers true color reproduction, and allows for more flexibility with ambient light conditions. This seamless surface also allows for easy viewing of detail in video as well as charts and graphs in a corporate setting. HD Progressive 1.3 can be cleaned with mild soap and water, and is flame-retardant and mildew-resistant. This surface has also achieved GREENGUARD GOLD Certification. Each side of the material uses a tab guide cable system to maintain even lateral tension and hold the surface flat. This helps to ensure that pixels from the display image don't overlap with one another. Tensioning also helps to prevent creases or folding of your screen. A custom slat bar with added weight maintains vertical tension on the screen surface.

For controlling the screen, a three-position Decora-style wall plate is included, along with a cover switch. Low Voltage Control allows the screen to be controlled via a low voltage signal or momentary dry contact from a third-party control system. The LVC is necessary if you are using an IR or RF remote to control your screen.

The electrical junction box is internally integrated into the housing, making it possible to install the housing, and then wire to the building's electrical system during construction.

Smooth Roll Technology to keep your screen flat.

Slim-Tab, a lower profile, and strong tab design to keep your screen taut.

White powder-coated case with white endcaps and closure doors for a clean aesthetic.

The case is UL Plenum rated.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can i use this soft box with my spyderlight td6?

A: The TD6 is not a good combo with the 28 due to the size and configuration of the head which may cause the lamps to come in contact with the Modifier. The Apollo Orb kit or the JS Apollo with an added medium to heavy duty stand will work with the TD6 but the shallow soft boxes designed for use with the TD6 heads is the ideal combination.

Q: 2. Is the honeycomb grid and hood diffuser included in this set? If not, do you have anything that will work with this set?

A: A softbox is included for each head in this kit. However, there are no grids available to fit them. For grids to fit the lamp heads using a reflector, you may consider the Elinchrom Reflector and Honeycomb Grid Set, B&H # ELCGS8.25 . https://bhpho.to/36ARezX

Q: 3. How do you keep the modeling lamp on. As soon as I take a photo, the modeling lamp goes off. I'm using the Elinchrom EL19366 Skyport Transmitter?

A: Hi,If you check your instruction book you will see how to control the modeling lamp. Here is the item you are inquiring about.Setup Visual-Flash-Control (VFC) modeProportional modelling lamp setup (PMS) Enter VFC setup :1. Press Prop push button for more than 2 seconds, until the display shows F.X (X is 0 or 1) toenter into the Modelling lamp setup menu.2. Use the Flash-Power up and down button to change setting:- F.0: Visual-Flash-Control = OFF. Modelling lamp remains ON after flash.- F.1: Visual-Flash-Control = ON. Modelling lamp switches off during recharging.3. The display switches back to normal mode after approx. 4 seconds if no button is pressed. Thesettings are automatically stored.4. Standard setting is F.0, VFC = OFFI hope this helps.Regards,Will H

Q: 4. Guys Do you think I can use this Softbox with a Strobe head light also ? or just speedlite flash ?

A: Absolutely you can use this with a strobe as well as a speedlight! It is made easier though if you purchase the Westcott Appolo Mounting Arm as well, since the strobe can mount to the arm then stick out the bottom of the softboz allowing access to the controls on the back of the strobe. Without the arm, the strobe is completely inside the softbox which means you either have to reach up through the zippered compartment on the bottom, or pull off the front diffusion panel to change your power settings.

Q: 5. Can I use with Amaran COB 60d?

A: The Aputure Light Storm LS 60x Bi-Color LED Light BH #APLS60X does not have an umbrella port so it cannot be used with an apollo softbox which mounts via an umbrella shaft.

Q: 6. Will this softbox work with an optical trigger? Since the flash is enclosed I was not sure if it would prevent the transmission of the signal from camera to flash.

A: Honest answer is: I don't know. I use the 10m(33ft) cord that Syl Arena recommends. It allows you to control the OCF from the camera's menus. Don't use a curly one, you will pull the light stand over!

Q: 7. Does it work in a contry use 220V, 60Hz voltage power?

A: The input voltage that the Elinchrom D-Lite RX One Flash Head, B&H # ELDLRXONE, is designed to accept is 90 to 260 VAC, 50/60 Hz. It is a multi-voltage item, so it would work for your usage needs. However, do note that the flash head includes the standard USA plug and the modeling lamp designed for use on 100-120V input voltage. As such, if you will be using the light fixture internationally, you will need to purchase a plug adapter to convert the plug to the type used in your country, and you will have to purchase a modeling lamp with the correct voltage for use in your country.

Q: 8. How can this soft box be used for video lighting. Please include exact recommendations of which lights to consider using.

A: I didn't use this for video lighting I used this for my external flash on my camera. Given your specific question I would think that if you used a 100+ watt bulb you should be able to use it for video, easily.

Q: 9. Can the EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus be used with a Canon 430EX II Speedlite as a slave?

A: You can but you need the EL-Skyport receiver. https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1247560-REG/elinchrom_el19369_el_skyport_receiver_plus.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1247560-REG/elinchrom_el19369_el_skyport_receiver_plus.html/aNot 100% sure the setup makes sense though as the Elinchrom flashes are MUCH more powerful...

Q: 10. I had previously ordered this and it came with an EL-Skyport Speed Transmitter. Does it still include this remote trigger?

A: Unfortunately, a transmitter is not included with the Elinchrom D-Lite RX One Flash Head. A compatible option is the Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter Plus, BH # ELSTP. https://bhpho.to/3c95qbf

[16:9] We use the screen in our church sanctuary once or twice a month. Installing it was an adventure with the weight and length, but several sections of scaffolding and a couple friends made the install move along nicely. The instructions for wiring were right on and it worked first try! The image is right on and visible the entire length of our viewing area (over 100').

[All Four Sides] The screen was simple to mount (we used lag bolts and attached the screen to a wall.) The screen did not come with instructions on how to install the switch for a 120v motor...complicated the electrical install was inconsistent wire colors on the switch and the screen. After consulting an electrician and enduring his derision for working with this product - he correctly intuited the correct wiring configuration. A big thanks to the customer service at B&H. We ordered the screen 2 weeks from a graduation. The shipper lost the screen for nearly a week, without informing us. I contacted the shipper, who responded with a long distance shoulder shrug - explaining they would look for it again. Unable to motivate the shipper, I called B&H - they got involved, and the screen was in my driveway 36 hours later. Thanks B&H.

[Yes] This Screen was easy to install. It took 3 people and 2 ladders to get the job done. The remote is really not needed but i opted to install it as well. The motor runs really smooth. The screen is nice and wide. A really good buy.

[16:9] We installed this in a rehabbed church space that's now a contemporary art gallery flush mounted it to an exposed beam and it looks and works great. That said, it's only been about a week, so maybe I'll report back later if I have any complaints! I was surprised that, for its length, there are only 2 mounting holes on either end, so I fear that it may sag over time. But again, too soon to tell. Where it does mount in those 2 places, it's on a solid plastic end cap/brace, so it seems like it will hold up well. It weighs about 85 pounds, so we had 3 people to install. We had to go about 17 feet up to the beam, we leveled, marked and pre-drilled & drove lag bolts into the beam and then used two extension ladders on either side to climb and carefully slide the projector up on the ladder's rails. Our 3rd person was on a 10ft ladder in the middle and was there as a spotter for extra support. It was then quite easy to hook it on to the lag bolts once we slid it to the top. All in all, it's an easy install, we opened the box and had the job done in less than 4 hours. Just be sure you have the wiring supplies and the proper mounting hardware and you'll have no problem!

[120 VAC/60 Hz] This screen was installed in a small conference room with an NEC projector. The screen can be wall or ceiling mounted, and this flexibility came in handy when we had to switch to a ceiling mount at the last moment. The screen presents very well, and is unobtrusive when retracted. The tensioning system works nicely, and we didn't have to change any of the factory settings for the drop. I would have liked to see some additional mounting holes for attaching the screen to studs in the wall, so the installer has more options for wall mounting.

[16:9] I installed in my living room in between ceiling joists. It works great. I use it with a Panasonic HD projector. It impresses everyone who walks in the room. Has a clean appearance when retracted. Note: it didn't come with a 12v trigger as both the B&H customer service rep and myself thought it did. We both misunderstood the description (it's optional.) The part was available at Da-Lite for $80 and came with no instructions. I got it to work after a few emails and chats with da-lite. Also, I ended up placing some holes in the top of the case to mount using 8 Lag bolts into the 2nd story floor structure. All the hardware that comes with it assumes you will have access to hang it from the top which requires access via the side while it's in it's final position. I was putting it in a hole the size of the case in my finished ceiling so that method would not work ( I would have had to remove and re-install a lot of drywall). I knew this before I purchased by reading the installation instructions so no worries just a fact and maybe a consideration for future changes to the case or just the directions.

[16:9] Assembly for very straight forward. Looks great on the wall. Really like the velour wrap around the frame. It does a very good job of rejecting light back onto the screen. Because of the size, (110 inch) I decided to put up a folding screen to cover it when not in use.
