[Handle] I like these bags because they give firm cushioning with the wet suit like neoprene material. I've learned to get a larger size than I think is needed for the lens, it makes it easier to slide the lens in & out, and any excess can be folded over for more cushioning. I carry my lenses in a backpack on rough trails, so they would be rubbing against each other. They give a layer of protection from dust, moisture, and temperature changes. Can use a carabiner clip to to a belt loop or such as needed. Never had one wear out in 20 years, I just keep getting bigger lenses. 5

[Empty] The XXL size fits a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR perfectly - with tripod bracket attached, but without sunshade (and despite what some online reviewers state). The draw string leaves an approx. quarter size hole when closed - but that's in my experience the case with all Op/Tech pouches and doesn't take away from their function to protect the lens against scratches an light impact. 5

[Black] I got this for my Nikon 24-70 f2.8. The case that came with it is great for carrying the lens by itself but it's rather bulky if you want to put it in a camera bag. The Nikon case is not collapsible so it's just as bulky when it's empty. This inexpensive case fits the 24-70mm perfectly and it's compact and secure enough to give my lens that extra protection while I'm carrying it around in my camera bag and it's collapsible when empty. 5
