The ZTS MBT-LA2Lead Acid Multi-Battery Tester provides a comprehensive means of testing the state of charge and battery condition for 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12V lead acid battery types (SLA, AGM, Gel, and Wet). Its lightweight and compact design makes it suitable for anyone working with lead acid batteries. This microprocessor-controlled instrument tests popular batteries with high accuracy pulse load test. After a fully automatic test cycle, the percentage of remaining battery capacity is indicated on the LED bar display.

An integrated cooling fan dissipates the heat from the tester, and the circuit is protected against over-voltage. Rugged NBR rubber sleeve protects the tester against impact. This battery tester includes a 48" removable plier-type test lead set with solid copper clamps that have a maximum jaw opening of 1.125". This tester requires 4AA batteries (not included).

The tester is also packaged with the K-MBTLA2 Accessory Kit that includes a protective soft case, suspension crown/hanging strap, and magnet for hands-free operation. The soft case has a secure hook and loop fastener flap and protects against dirt and impact. The hanging strap has a quick-release buckle for easy fastening to conduit, pipes, ladder rung, etc., and the magnet enables attachment to metal surfaces such as battery cabinets.

A: The Blackmagic Production Camera 4K will support 11-30V DC so the Bescor will safely power it. The battery is not wired out of the box though for compatibility with this camera.

A: Yes the Bescor batteries in question are lead acid chemistry and are safe for air travel. Lithium Ion batteries are the only battery types with flight restrictions.

Q: 8. Just curious. Which battery drains first, camera or grip? Or both equally? Can you change the battery in the grip while the camera is powered on?

A: The D500 menu gives you the option of choosing which battery drains first. I have not tried changing the battery with the camera on.

A: Unfortunately it cannot.

Q: 10. When rotating the light so that it isn't facing the floor how do you lock it in place? Wouldn't gravity just rotate the light as it sees fit?

A: The RD-1201 has a friction control which automatically locks the rotating end in position.

[2.55 lb] I had one like it now for several years, but unfortunately I spilled a cup of coffee on it and the electronics quickly became toast. I use it a lot because I am running many trail cameras and each take 12 AA Li batteries. The MBT-1 helped in sorting out the good used batteries from those that were 100% expended. The B&H Photo pricing was the best that I came across so I bought another unit. Service was very quick, shipping was fast and I did not skip a beat with the trail cameras. 5

[2.55 lb] This multi battery tester is expensive but is very useful to triage good, not so good and bad batteries by their actual capacity. It still works after 3 1/2 years, The only complain it drains AA batteries within 2-3 months, so I eventually started to remove batteries and inserting them only before testing (the batteries must be fresh to avoid misleading results). 5

[2.55 lb] UPS batteries eventually need replacement. These are the manufacturer's recommended batteries for my CyberPower UPS. There are two different sets of instructions with pictures. Be sure you follow the correct set for your unit! Removing the old batteries can be difficult if one or more of the connecting wires is crimped too tightly to a battery terminal. Do NOT use a tool but wiggle the wires off by hand. Just be careful and be patient. The new batteries were easy to install by following the instructions. 5

Very often when I go to find a battery for a device and it does not function, I cannot tell if the device is bad or the battery. This device corrects that problem. Very Happy with this device. [2.55 lb] I purchased this because my former battery tester was not providing great results. After talking to my electrical engineer friend, he recommended this unit, especially because it does a load test, which provides a more realistic result of the battery's capability.
