[6°] Explore scientific oce again confirm its reputation. This eyepiece is really the best in its category, along with rhe Tele Vue Nagler but at half of that price: difficult to do better. Its huge apparent FOV, its contrast and its flat field make it a must for all owners of a long focal SCT.

[6°] I don't know much about eyepieces but I do have 4 explorer scientific. The 4.5mm and 8.5mm 82 degree, the 17mm 92 degree and the 30mm 82 degree.
I like them all but I really like the 17mm and 30mm.
I can't give any technical details but I can tell you that the 30mm is a pleasure to look through. The same can be said for the 17mm. It would be hard to choose between the two if i could only have one. I guess I would have to go with the 17mm because of the wide field of view plus greater magnification but i would really miss the 30mm.
And I would definitely go with B&H, i recently tried another store in NJ and got ........

[50 mm] Explore Scientific has really made a great finder scope here and it is a nice match for my ES AR152mm scope. Very solid and a sleek look. Very nice magnification and illumination.

[2.2" (55.5 mm)] This is my first 2" EP and my first 82 degree FOV EP. The view of the double cluster (I could see both in the FOV with my Meade LS-8) was simply spectacular. I was a little anxious about spending close to $300 for an EP. However it is definitely worth the money.

[None] Ordered from USA to Brisbane on a Monday and received Friday via DHL in time for dark skies on Saturday. WOW
Very light weight but solid. Performed well with Explore Scientific + Tele Vue eye pieces on my Celestron 11 and would highly recommend.

[6°] This is pretty much my favorite eyepiece. Field of view and clarity are amazing; mix that with the 17mm magnification and it's my goto eyepiece for almost anything. If it were forced upon me I would happily use this as my only eyepiece for the rest of my life.

With that said, I must say that the rubber eyecup fell off within a couple days of use and I will need to figure out the repair myself (not a big enough issue to send back). Also, the plastic cap doesn't fit over the top of the eyepiece for storage? What is that about? It's from a different eyepiece model? I wouldn't expect these issues with an otherwise very high quality piece.

Even with these issues I am giving it 5 stars because they do not take away from the amazing viewing experience and overall quality.
