Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. This is a matte canvas right? I'm not sure what Tactile Surface Texture means

A: Not sure what the term Tactile Surface Texture means 'though I suspect it's little more than a marketing term. Please note, I haven't printed on this product yet but I can say Daguerre Canvas is an actual canvas material and when compared to the Epson's Exhibition Canvas Matte (uses Matte Ink on Stylus Photo 3800), the weave of the Daguerre Canvas is slightly finer and flatter 'though they're essentially the same whiteness. This forum prevents me from attaching links to Hahnemuhle so I recommend you go to their site where you can get a further information.

Q: 2. What is the thickness of this paper?

A: The paper is 15 mil thick.

Q: 3. Hi, Will this roll fit the Canon Pro-6100? The printer can take spools up to 152 cm. This canvas is 152.4cm. 4mm problem?

A: Yes, the Hahnemuhle Canvas Metallic (60" x 39' Roll) will fit the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-6100 Printer.

Q: 4. Which LR print settings do you use to avoid white borders? (I've tried various settings but always get a sliver of a white border on one or two sides.) Thanks!

A: We recommend that you contact Adobe support. https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html?promoid=RGJ8NLP8&mv=other

Q: 5. is this a paper or a canvas?

A: This would be a canvas roll.

Q: 6. 430 gsm... Will it print on an Epson SC P7570?

A: The Hahnemühle Cézanne Canvas Matte FineArt Paper is rated at 20.5 mils, which is fully compatible with the SC P7570.

Q: 7. This looks intriguing. Is it special purpose paper? One review mentions an adhesive. What are the prints meant to be attached to? Thanks.

A: It's the same as the full sized paper sheets or rolls. The only thing is due to the thickness of this paper & small size,, you might have to manual feed it in the larger printers (those that take up to 13x19 & above). Being so the manual feed won't recognize the 4x6 therefore you need to mount iton a larger paper. Please note this paper wont fit into the small all in one photo printers due to its thickness.

Q: 8. Can it be printed with a Epson Sure Color P7500 inject printer.

A: Yes the Hahnemuhle Fine art Pearl Paper 24 inch roll is compatible with the Epson P7500 series printers.

Q: 9. What paper type I should use for this paper for Canon ImagePROgraf 4600 printer? And what ICC profile?

A: The Hahnemuhle Canvas Metallic would need the ICC profiles which can be downloaded at this link: https://bhpho.to/46GqPAt

Q: 10. This is a fairly heavy paper, any problems with rolling it up and shipping in a 4" mailing tube ?

A: The Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta Satin Paper can be rolled and shipped in a tube.

[Single] The 10 ft sample roll was enough for 1-2 prints. Due to the pressure striping you lose 3-5 feet at the end, but I got enough to see the sheen. It's a spendy product but a great look and easy to stretch.

[25.1 lb] This canvas is the best I've ever had to try. I will always order it. The colors are bright, the color rendition is accurate, the profile works well. This canvas is very suitable for printing my works, and the pearly luster helps them look chic.

[350 gsm] If you have images with earth tones or a little yellow or gold, you should try this Hahnemuhle Metallic Canvas to let those colors present themselves differently from "plain" canvas. I started making "Digital Paintings in 1998 and was introduced to a glossy finished canvas by a local printer. He was good enough to give me pointers on making my own prints and I quickly realized that the image media is very important. I exhibit my work 3 or 4 times per year, and I strive to produce photography that mimics paintings while a colleague of mine makes paintings that mimic photography! As a painter, it seams you might have more latitude to make your image present the way you want, but as a photographer, it is more difficult. Being able to print my Digital Paintings on canvas is wonderful, but using this special metallic canvas gives my artwork a look and feel of something definitely not photographic.
