Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is this film perforated on single edge?

A: ORWO UN54 16mm Cine B&W Film (100' Roll) BH #ORUN54C16 • MFR #UN54C16 is a single perf stock.

Q: 2. Compatible with Nikon N75?

A: You can use the Kodak 135-36 35mm Ektar 100 Color Negative Film in the Nikon N75, yes.

Q: 3. which is the expiration date?

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 4. what type of camera can be used for this film?

A: Its 35mm film. Its for 35mm cameras.

Q: 5. is negative film the same as slide film?

A: No. Negative film has an orange base and produces a negative image (highlights are dark, shadows are light). It requires scanning and conversion from a negative to a positive image as well as accounting for the orange base.Slide film, on the other hand, produces a positive image on the film and can be scanned much easier as such (the image does not need to be inverted). +Compared to slide film, negative film has more latitude, meaning that it is more flexible and is less likely to give empty shadows or highlights. It also has more dynamic range than slide film.-Conversely, negative film is also lower contrast than slide film, lower saturation, has more grain, and is less sharp.Ektar 100, in particular, is less flexible than the Kodak Portra family of negative films (160/400). It behaves more like slide film than negative film in that it is higher contrast, less flexible, sharper, and more saturated. It is still, however, a negative film. For a film with more latitude (i.e. easier to use), stick to Portra which will also have better skin tones.

Q: 6. What is the expiration date?

A: The expiration is constantly changing from week to week and month to month. This is all fresh dated film but if you want a specific expiry date at any given time, please call in and ask a representative-800-947-9950.

Q: 7. hican you guys ship film to the united arab emirates ?

A: Yes we can. You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart and entering a destination zip code or country. You will then see a list of shipping options and Estimated Shipping Times to your location.

Q: 8. Does this film need to be refrigerated for long term storage like was necessary with the old Vericolor?

A: The following information is listed by Kodak for storing Kodak Ektar film: Store unexposed film at 21°C (70°F) or lower in the original sealed package. For extended periods, store film at 13°C (55°F) to preserve consistency. To avoid moisture condensation on film that has been refrigerated, allow the film to warm up to room temperature before opening the package.

Q: 9. Where can I get the film developed without paying an arm and a leg?

A: Please visit our film development for your processing needs.

Q: 10. is there a bulk discount of 50 or more?

A: No there is not. Our film has been discounted to the lowest possible price we can offer regardless of the quantity being ordered.

[1x Film Roll] In August, I went on a trip the the Pacific Northwest, and wanted to capture it on Slide and B&W. I shot 5 rolls of Chrome 100 using a Nikon F with a 50mm F/1.4 and using a Pentax Spotmeter V!

Very happy with how they turned out! I also brought two rolls of Kodak's E100 to compare, and since Chrome 100 is just bulk loaded E100D wasn't much of a difference between E100 and Chrome 100!

I really enjoyed this roll and for the price (especially since E100 is 21.99 on B&H) you can't get much better than this!

[1x Film Roll] Step 1. Buy this stock
Step 2. Put it in your camera
Step 3. Slap on an 812 filter

Now I just need to get one of those old slide projectors

[Polyester] I purchased this material to print large scale images on for an upcoming show. The texture of the printable size is matte enough and light passes through the film extremely well. If you're interested in having light pass through your prints, this is a really great material to purchase. I was unable to locate an ICC profile for it, but I'm making my own.

[1x Film Roll] At first glance, I thought it was a wasted roll, but after some color corrections in Lightroom, the warm tones were there while still highlighting the natural colors that modern slide film highlights. I will definitely shoot with it again to see if I can fine tune the exposure a bit.

[20 lb] This film was used in a temporary public art piece - not necessarily it's intended use. I did not print on it, but used acrylic paints on the matte side of the film for part of the piece. It is durable, waterproof and flexible. It rained and held up. I would use it again for it's specific purpose as well as alternate uses.

[20 lb] This film was a real treat after buying it on a whim. I found the pop of color vibrancy on it, and its low grain, to be stellar. I live in Texas so we get plenty of bright sun, so this low ISO film is perfect for that. I know its just a repackaging of a Kodak aerial film, but that isn't really available to us consumers, but Flic Film Elektra is, and I plan to shoot more of it! I highly recommend it to photographers looking for fairly cheaper color negative film, and in applications where you like some nice extra reds and greens

[Polyester] As others have noted, this is Ektachrome 5294 movie film, spooled in to cassettes, for 35mm still cameras. It has great color, and saturation, as well pleasing skin tones. Like its sold by Kodak Alaris counterpart, it is a great all around film. I use it for all occasions, both in the studio, and outdoors. Since it is a movie film, it doesn't have frame numbers along the edges; not a big deal, just something to note.
