[5/8"-27 Male] I use it to hold my desktop Mic so that it could reach over my keyboard while I'm playing with having to get a floor stand. Works great and the price is a steal.

[Boom Stand] This microphone stand is being used as a tabletop stand very close to a person talking. A panel of presenters sit at a long table facing the audience and I needed to have an SM58 right in the face of each person. The stand works very well for that and it's all black, blends well with my stands from a different manufacturer and is an all-around team player. I'd trust the stand to work in a whole lot of different situations too. The base is fairly heavy without being dangerous or a hassle to carry around. The base is heavy enough to be able to extend the boom a fair distance from the base and to some extent, off axis...it's really about what you'd expect. Incidently, the base is slightly lighter than the stands from another brand that I have, so I can offer lighter stands if I need to. Nice product. At first, I thought it was a cheapie made out of not-so-good materials, but the more I checked it out and used it, I've decided it's a good product worth having. And it gets the job done!

[Black] Solid base and we'll built. I use this on a desk with the SE Electronics X1s microphone bundle. It balances well and was worth the price.

[Boom Stand] Perfect size and functionality. I use it on my desk with Shure beta 58A mic and 3' 16AWG XLR cable. Its weight and rubber feet isolates any possibility of vibration traveling to the mic. Swivel boom allows various positioning of mic without having to move the base. I haven't tried it with heavier and bulkier Rode NT1 but a little counterweight will easily balance it out if it's ever needed. Supplied cable clips are a nice touch.

[Boom Stand] Apparently, a lot of night club sound engineers think the way I do because I've been seeing these kick mic stands on every stage I've shot video on for the past year. They're solid and stable. The clamp is the only part that feels a bit light, but I've never had a problem and I haven't seen one fail, so I wouldn't let that stop you from buying one... or more.

[Fixed Length] I liked this microphone stand so much, I'm going to buy three more. This stand from Auray is a space saver and problem solver. As advertised; it is a perfect lo-profile match for mic'ing kick drums and guitar amps. Much easier to set up and adjust than using traditional mic stands. And the price is right too.

[Black] These are an excellent, well made solution I use for placing mics on snare, kick and floor tom drums. Heavy, solid base with footprint about the size of a postcard.
